Jocelyn looked at the teacher and raised her hand in the air. She wasn't agreeing with this because there were other students who did do what they had to do and now they get punished as well.

"Professor Lestrange, don't you think it's unfair for the students who didn't misbehaved in your last class and now being punished for something they didn't do just because some students think it is funny to misbehave in your class?" She asked the professor honestly.

Morgan sighed heavily at the assignment. She didn't think it was fair for them all to be punished for the others disorderly conduct in class, but better to just do it than to possibly get even more to do by the end of class. Morgan pulled out some parchment and thought about what she was going to wright.

Angel nodded at the Professor before taking out some parchment and a sugar quill. She looked down at the blank piece of parchment and slowly wondered what to write.

DADA Lesson 3 (H) Empty Re: DADA Lesson 3 (H)

Post by Morana Gaunt Wed May 15, 2013 7:49 pm

First, I would probably use my ability to turn into a raven. I would make myself smaller instantly , which would give me small advantage in dodgeing curses my enemy would send. I would lead him or her exactly where I want, most likely into a forest, because that's the best place for raven to disappear. If someone really wanted to kill me, he/she would chase me, which is the thing I can always use for myself. I would definitely use my knowledge of forests and take this person to the darkest and most dangerous parts, where snakes are hidden.

There comes stage two. I would turn myself back into human, used things around to cover myself and make sure my enemy cannot see me. Than the mind game will start. It's easy to scare someone when he/she finds himself/herself at the dark place, without any knowledge of it. I would use sounds and movements to get myself into the best position, which mean behind the enemy and I would try to get his/hers wand. If I succeded, I would use it against him/her. If not, I would quickly hide again.

Last thing I would do is to use snakes. With my ability to gather them around me and than control them, I would send them to distract and harm my enemy, so I can posses his/hers wand and make my last move. Mostly likely kill.

Morana finished her essay quickly and handed it over to professor. Than she went back to her desk, sat down and continued with her drawings.

Morgan winced and bit her bottom lip at Professor Lestrange's words. She had chosen wisely to just do as the professor asked....

Battles are not always predictable. There are times when the unexpected is exactly what occurs. In the event of the unexpected, it is wise to have a plan in place for what action one would take. In the event that I was wandless during an attack, my attacker was equipped with a wand, and he intended to kill me, I would first do everything in my power to get away. Without a wand, and as yet unable to use nonverbal magic, a witch or wizard is almost powerless. However, anything around you can be used as a weapon and shield. I would be sure to pick anything and strike my attacker, if I'm close enough to him, or throw it at my attacker, to distract him long enough for me to make it to shelter of any kind.

If throwing the object is what is needed, throwing more than one thing is best. The more things, to keep the attacker distracted the better. I would then find a place to hide which could also be used as a shield if needed. I would then look for a way to get away that would allow me to stay hidden and get away.

Once a way out was found, as quickly and quietly as possible, I would make a break for safety.

Morgan read over her essay. It wasn't her best work, but it was all she could think of. She walked to Professor Lestrange's desk and handed it to her. She then returned to her seat and awaited further instruction.

Sirius, sitting in the back of the class, toke out his quill.

Wand less battles are not always a losing effort. At the start of said battle, I would most likely dodge the spells, or curses thrown my way. I'd slowly try to throw objects close to me, at whoever was attacking me. Soon, he would be hit, and then I would make my move.

After being able to creep in on my attacker, entering hand to hand combat would depend on his/her muscular form, but in any case, I'd try to get their wand. If I achieved success in that action, I'd quickly curse the person. If I did not, I would at least damage the wand.

Finally, I'd either, beat said attacker senseless. Whatever I cursed him or not. And by the end of the battle, be sure they would not attack me again.

Sirius got up, and left his essay on Miss Lestrange's desk. He returned to his seat, and surprisingly, stood quiet.

As soon as an idea struck Angel, she busied herself in getting it down on parchment.
If by any chance if me and my wand were parted I would defend my self using my surroundings and camouflage. The first thing I would do is hide myself so I won't be visible to the enemy and put as much as distance I could between my attacker. Second I would try to figure out my attackers porpuse, is it to steal a certain item or destroy something in particular. If it is, I would stay well away from the designated object. If its to kill me, then I would shoot out small attacks using my sorroundings.
I would start by first finding something hard but and sharp. Then I would focus on my target without him/her seeing me. Once I have a good aim I would throw. Usually I would aim at their eye because that's a vital part in attacking someone and if my enemy can't see me he or she couldn't do much harm to me. Or I might aim at the floor to cause a distraction.
Hopefully after hiding and hurting or cuasing a distraction I will be able to find a safe place away from the enemy.

Angel finished writing and looked at her work before handing it in.

Thoren smiled as this would be a easy paper for him he has been trained in the art of hand to hand combat since he could walk. Thoren pulled out his parchment and quill then started to write.

Thoren Darkwater
House:Ravenclaw

Battle it is a hell on earth you have to be calm, cool, and collected you must be able to think in battle but when your weapon has been taken away it opens up a whole new element to the battlefield. I was raised in a family of great warriors called the samurai they are specialized in almost all styles of combat from the great and mighty bow and arrow to their bare hands seeings how you have asked for an paper on how we would fight a battle without our wand I will not use any other weapon that I have been trained with for that would be unfair to many.

First when confronted with an enemy I first will seize him/her up and see what I am up against you always want to know what kind of tactics you will need to deploy against him/her. Most of the wizards I have seen and heard of fight at a distance therefore I would want to take that away get them out of there comfort zone and out in the open that means I would have to get close real close. close enough to use my hands. Then after do that I would use a hand to hand type of fighting only known to samurai and their families it is called Takagi Yoshin Ryu Jutaijutsu this is a special kind of fighting that uses you enemys energy and movements against his/her self. Using the energy my opponent would use to turn, step, and or raise his wand I would take his left arm side-step behind him bringing his arm across my right shoulder with me enemy like that they would be in no position to do anything. Then I would place my left for about a yard behind my right foot while doing this a pull him/her across and over my shoulder flipping them face first in the ground. When they are on the ground I will take their left arm and put it in what you english call a chicken wing holding it tight with my left arm I would take my right making a fist I would use all of the energy and place it in my fist delivering it to the center or their upper back leaving them breathless. While they gasp for air I would take the hand their wand is in and twist tell the release it taking it my self I would use the full body binding curse 'Petrificus Totalus' braking there wand I would find the closest Professor or MoM member.

Thoren stands up and walks swiftly to the desk of the Professor laying it on the top of the desk he returned to his seat with out a word.

Eric sighed when he heard what they had to do but immediately took out his parchment and began writing.

If somebody was trying to kill me and I had no wand but they did I would use my physicality against them. From my time outdoors I am fit and strong. You may not always be in an area that you are familiar with in a situation like this. I would run first of all and pretend to my attacker that I have no idea what I am doing so as to give them an extra bit of false hope. Being in an open area would be very difficult so I would try make it to a forest, building or even a cliff side if the opportunity arises. I would find some shelter which has a number of ways to escape and I would then begin throwing everything that I can lift at my pursuer. As they get closer I would get to one of the escape routes and stay hidden behind it and once they come through I would jump at them.

If I could get them onto the ground I would try to get their wand as far away from them as possible. I would wrap my legs around theirs to hold them tight and put them in a headlock with one of my hands and began digging them in the ribs until they have broken. I would then grab their wand and use it to capture them.

Eric looked over the paper twice and then took it up to Professor Lestrange's desk and walked back to his own.

Phaedra sighed silently and began writing, writing as fast as her hand would let her.
If that happened, I'd most likely find something to protect myself with and keep me from getting harmed. I'd most likely have enough time to hurriedly glance around and find a hiding spot where I wouldn't be able to be seen from which would keep me safe, the hiding area would most likely would be a tree, or another type of shelter. Eventually after hiding, and keeping myself safe with what I had found.

Before coming out of where I was hidden, I'd make sure whomever was no longer there, and if whomever was still there I would make a disraction long enough for me to escape without being seen..

Phaedra erased a few words here and there, also re-reading over it several times, before standing up and placing the paper on Professor Lestrange's desk, she then walked back to her seat, being as silent as ever, well the most silent she has been in nearly.. forever.

Jocelyn sighed and started to work. "Damn students..." She muttered angrily.

If someone was trying to kill me and i had no wand, i would first hide myself and making sure i will not be found in 5 minutes and then just to think of a good solution and then i would probably look around and observe my surroundings. I would look for the enemy who is trying to kill me and then observe him.

When my enemy would cast something on me i will try and avoid it and then hide again, so if i'm in a surrounding where there will be a lot of wood i will find a big stick and trying to slap my enemy with it when he doesn't expect it. I will try and let my enemy drop his wand so i can force him to fight against me without a wand so that would be fair.

I think i would kick him until i have more time to run away and then i will run away to somewhere my enemy wouldn't be looking for me anymore.

Jocelyn looked at her essay and rolled her eyes, she wasn't really proud of it but it was an order so she handed it in and sat down on her seat again and flicked through the pages of her dada book.

Kiara tilted her head and shrugged a the assignment for today, interesting topic she thought as she began to write.

"If I didn't have my wand and someone was trying to kill me with theirs I would move quick and take cover staying out of my attackers line of sight. It is important to always be aware ones surroundings in an emergency such as that. Finding a way to safety would be an important first step, or if that wasn't possible, stay alive and try to out think my opponent for the way out.

My attacker has one advantage and that is his/her wand and their arsenal of spells. The trick would be to either get the wand away from them or make the advantage obsolete by being out of sight if one had an invisibility cloak and no wand that would be a great advantage. As a first year my self I don't know many spells to begin with nor are they that powerful so my advantage with or without a wand is minimal. I would also try and distract my attacker with dialog, make the talk to me rather than casting spells my way.

To conclude I would do whatever was possible to defend my self from a murderous opponent, Distract, evade, out wit the works. It really depends, how smart the person trying to kill me really is."

Kiara reread what she wrote and got up and handed it in, it wasn't the best but she hoped it got to the subject point.

DADA Lesson 3 (H) Empty Re: DADA Lesson 3 (H)

Post by Guest Mon Jul 29, 2013 1:21 pm

Azaria didn't mind having to write an essay, since it didn't require her to speak. She hadn't ever thought about having to defend herself without a wand, for her wand was always with her wherever she went. It frightened her to think about having to fight without a wand, but she reminded herself that this was just an essay. She composed her thoughts and started writing.

If I were to end up in a battle without a wand, I would be practically defenesless. I would need to be very aware of my surroundings, so I could always have a place to dodge any spells that were cast towards me. I would do my best to stay hidden from my opponent, for I have no special abilities that would help me in this situation.

I could try to sneak up on my opponent and take their wand from them. I would then have the advantage over them. Using someone else's wand isn't nearly as powerful as using your own, but it is better than using nothing at all. Once I had my opponent's wand, I could use one of the many dfense spells I know and take them down fairly easily.

Overall, my plan if I did not have a wand and someone was trying to kill me would be to try to even the odds, or put them in my favor. I try to keep my wand with me at all times, so I could try to avoid the situation, but now I have a plan if I ever find myself unarmed. I would do my best to outsmart my opponent and stay alive.

Azaria knew it wasn't her best work, but she didn't have any special abilities like her classmates. She reread her work and edited it for a moment, then walked to the front of the class to turn it in.
