Broken (Sirius, Marvolo)

Morgan lay propped up against several pillow looking out the window next to her bed in the Hospital Wing. She wore her light blue cami and matching stripped shorts as she was mostly resting during her stay. Between the collision with Sirius and the bite from Marvolo, she was in pretty rough shape. The Medi-Witch healed what she could, which wasn't much more than stopping the bleeding and lightening her bruises, but due to her injuries, she was to stay for at least a day. The sun was setting, painting the sky and making Morgan smile slightly. It was beautiful...

Morgan sighed.... What happened... Everything is amiss....

Marvolo slipped from her room, her barefeet falling silently on the stone floor, her black hair blended in with the plain black cloak she wore over her loose clothing. She walekd down to the hospital wing, she had been spending alot of time down there and it seemed to be the matrons would know her soon.

Turning the corner she opened the large doors and slipped down the wing, she walked over to the bed that held morgan's chart and pushed back the curtain "Morgan?"

Morgan jumped at the unexpected and yet familiar voice. She didn't look at Marvolo, but kept looking out the window. "I'm a little surprised to hear you here, Marvolo..." she said evenly.

She slipped into the cubicle and sat down on the girl's bed, "Morgan you have never done wrong by me and my attack on you was a horrible thing to do to you, I am so sorry that it happened"

Morgan's grey-blue eyes shifted from the window to the Slytherin now sitting on her bed. She lowered them and said, "No, I shouldn't have been listening in. I deserved it..." Morgan brought her hands together and fumbled with her fingers, her forearm wrapped to help with the final healing process from the bite wound.

Marvolo frowned and she took the girl's hands in her own "No" she said firmly "you did not deserve it, never think to yourself then you deserve to be harmed in anyway" she spoke adimently her eyes filled with regret "I didn't mean to hurt you i was not thinking clearly it is my fault and mine alone and I wish to help you"

Morgan looked up at Marvolo's words as she took her hand. She sounded kind and her words touched the small pieces of Morgan's heart. Maybe she was right. Well.... about this incident, at least. "You....want to help....me?" she asked, confusion covering her face.

"So that scars never mar your body" she said with a small smile "so we can start fresh"

Morgan managed a small smile, a shadow of the bright smiles she normally smiled. She wasn't sure about starting fresh with this girl who was now Sirius', but as there wasn't much she could do about it.... Maybe it could happen... "I'd like that, but I don't know, Marvolo.... I mean, you're with.... And everything has happened so quickly...." Morgan didn't want to seem ungrateful, but the situation was just too complicated....

"Why should it matter who i am with? how we see each other and whether or not we are friends should be based on our interactions with each other and each other alone"

Morgan thought about Marvolo's words, and looked out the window at the colorful sky. She had felt so alone as of late. Luna wasn't Luna anymore, Sirius was gone, James had Lily, and Severus was busy with studies. A friend would be nice at a time like this...

Morgan looked at her, and gave her hand a squeeze. "I think I need a friend right about now..." she said, tears brimming in her cloudy, sad eyes. "I forgive you, Marvolo. Let's start fresh," she said quietly.

SHe saw the tears in her eyes and silently pulled the girl into her arms "I know it feels like the world is ending i know how that feels better then most, but it will work out and all those broken pieces in your life will be sewn back togehter"

Morgan let some of the tears fall as Marvolo pulled her into her arms and just held her. Her words were comforting to her, somehow. She knew that the pain wasn't going to last forever, but at the moment, it felt like the pain and sorrow she felt would never end. "It's going to take a lot of thread to mend my broken pieces back together..." she said with a small laugh. She pulled back, her hands on Marvolo's forearms. "Thank you, Marvolo," she said with a small smile that was somehow brighter than before. As she wiped her damp cheeks, she said, "I didn't know you were an animagus."

Marvolo laughed "That is suprising I am always turning into a wolf to go down to the forest, but you are not the kind of girl to go to the forest are you? your too sweet"

Morgan sat back and laughed lightly. "Guess the forest hasn't been high on my list of places to go to," she said. "Maybe one day, though.... I think it would be nice to be able to turn into an animal whenever you want," she said. "Can you turn into anything else, or just the wolf?" she asked.

"Just a wolf" she said "perhaps I shall take you deep into the forest when you are healed"

Morgan's eye widen at Marvolo's offer, "Really?" She had heard that the forest was dangerous, but she still thought it would be nice to visit there sometime. Maybe with someone like Marvolo at her side, it would be a safe venture. "I'd like that," she said with a soft smile, her eyes showing a small amount of happiness.

Marvolo looked at the girl she had selfishly attacked only hours ago, she kissed her lightly on the lips and smiled "I am so glad to hear we can be friends...i really am"

Sirius had finally truly decided. Marvolo said it, then it was happening. She had convinced him to have sex with another girl. What that girl could do to him. As he entered the hospital wing, he could noticeably be seen wearing something different. He usual wore the gryffindor outfit, but now he was using a simple top, along with his tie. As he came in to see the spectacle, somehow, he wasn't surprised. He stood there, looking at Marvolo and Morgan engage on a kiss. "Cute." He said, with a sarcastic tone.

Marvolo looked up at Sirius "Hey" she said "I came down to talk to Morgan about what I did...I felt guilty...but we are friends now" Marvolo hugged her gently and got up "I'll leave you two to talk.."

Marvolo got to her feet and looked at Sirius pointedly and spoke in a low tone "please...don't hurt her anymore"

Morgan was slightly stunned when Marvolo lightly kissed her, but she didn't fight it either. At her comment about being happy they could be friends, Morgan smiled something close to her normal bright, happy smile. The happiness spread to her grey-blue eyes as she quietly said, "Me, too."

At the sound of the voice that caused her to break into a million pieces only hours before met her ears, Morgan went rigid. She turned to see none other than Sirius standing there. How long had he been there? Marvolo explained her presence there and then hugged Morgan again lightly. When she went to leave, Morgan almost asked her to stay, fearing how much more pain he was going to inflict on her fragile heart that was only just starting to put itself back together. But, she let her go. As she left, Morgan tried to pull her knees to her chest, but couldn't get comfortable thanks to the seriousness of her now healing injuries. So, she simply leaned back against her pillows and looked at her fingers as she fumbled with them.

Sirius snickered at Marvolo's little comment. No promises. He thought. Sirius moved onto Morgan's bed, putting his hands on the bottom of the bed. "Guess I have guilt in that happening too. My apologies." He said, pointing at her arm. He bowed his head, and looked down on the ground. "What's....going on between you and Rabastan?" He asked, slowly bringing his head up again, and looking straight at Morgan. He would do what Marvolo had advised him to do later. First, he had to know what was going on.

Morgan watched with icey eyes as Sirius walked to the end of the bed and placed his hands there. When he apologized for her injuries, including the most recent one, she looked at her wrapped arm and said flatly, "Are you really sorry? You said you were sorry the first time," she looked up at him. "Then the same kind of thing happened and look at me..." she could see the ripple of tears swim across her vision as she spoke, but her voice was strong and steady, as she hinted at the injuries he could plainly see as all of them were exposed thanks to what she was wearing. "You didn't even care when I was hurt so badly by accident... And now you're sorry?" Morgan looked away from him and out her window. The sky was no longer a painted canvas, but the dark shades of dusk as night approached. When Sirius asked about Rabastan, she simply answered, "Nothing. He is a kind person who helped take care of me when I was in the most need of kindness." She looked at him again, "He cared what happened to me." She knew that might have been a low blow, but at that point, she didn't care. She was the one hurting, he certainly didn't seem like he was.

Sirius lifted his hands from the bottom of the bed. "Guess I should go then. You don't seem to want me around, even though I just came to check on you. We may no longer be lovers, but I still care deeply for you. Even if I no longer show it." Sirius walked around her bed. The window showed exactly what he wanted. Night. When everyone left. "I'm still hopelessly in love with you. And I know I behaved like a fool. A big buffoon. But Marvolo made me realize I actually love you. Not her. I never loved her. And never will, not while you exist." Sirius got on one knee and looked at Morgan. He was still at the level of the bed. "I didn't want to do what I did. Too much pressure on my back. I can't give a fair explanation about my actions. But you know people say you usually give 3 chances. I seem to have one left."

Morgan wasn't surprised when he began to leave. At the moment, she didn't really care where he was... But then, he changed. He was the old Sirius, right there, in front of her on one knee asking for yet another chance. He was confessing his feelings for her and his wrongs. She had to look away as one tear spilled over and ran down her undamaged cheek. "I love you, too...." she said in whispered tones. Before she spoke again, she could feel every fiber of her being screaming for her to not give him another chance to hurt her. She couldn't bring herself to speak, but she reached out her unharmed arm, offering him her hand. "I don't know what to do, Sirius," she said looking at him, her eyes painfully sad.
