Champions Tent (Champions, deputy and headmasters only!)

Cian, dressed in black black jeans with black leather chaps, black combat boots, and his champion's shirt showing his last name across his back with the WolfClaw insignia in the center, his house crest on the left front, and house color in a large diagonal band from right shoulder to left hip, entered the champion's tent. As he looked around, he was not surprised to see that he was the first to arrive. He walked over to the section set up for him and sat on the foot of the cot. He placed his elbows on his knees, pressed his hands together, and hung his head... "So it begins...." he whispered to himself, Irish accent heavy on his words.

Luna enters the tent with a worried look in her eyes. She walks to her section wearing black and red jeans, a white tank top and her signature military boots. She pulls on her champion shirt which had her intials next to her hogwarts sign. She stares into the distance with a strong, determined gaze. She ties her hair up and her eyes shone a brighter electric blue. She looks to see Cian and sighs. She walks up to him and kneels in front of him taking his hands in hers. She looks up at him with a small smile. ''It's gonna be alright. You're a strong person i can tell and you really shouldn't be so worried Cian." She squeezes his hands in hers and gives him a bigger smile.

Cian raised his deep brown eyes to Luna as she took his hands in hers, kneeling in front of her. He smiled at her words, taking one of his hands and tucking a loose strand of her dark hair she had missed when pulling it up and tucked it behind her ear. "As are you, Luna. I can't be sure that we will all be fine, but I know we will put up one hell of a fight," he said putting his hand over hers. "Good luck to you, Miss Luna," he said winking at her.

Luna blushes a faint rose colour as he tucks a strand of hair behind her ear and smile at him. ''No one knows what will happen but if we ever have to fight, just know i will back down. I do not mind losing. No one will die...No one better not anyway.'' She wraps her arms around him and smiles. ''Good luck Cian.'' She kisses his cheek and grins. She sits next to him and takes his hand. ''We will fight till the end and no matter what obstacle comes in our way...all the champions shall go on to face the next until the end. Who knows what will happen at the end.'' She says looking at a candle in front of her, the flame dancing.

Cian's smile hardens into a firm line as Luna hugs him and he wraps his arms around her. He had readied himself for this, but knowing that the time was indeed coming didn't make it easy to be sure that one was ready. He brought back his smile as Luna pulled out of the hug and kissed his cheek. He made room for her next to him on his cot and gave her hand a squeeze. He sighed at her words that she would back down if they had to fight one another, "I would rather you try, Luna, at least a little. As much I would prefer for everyone to come out alive, the means to an end are unpredictable. But, per your wish that we all come out alright, I will do what I can to be sure that we all do..." He noticed her looking at the candle flickering on the desk across from them. Cian took out his ebony wand, looked at her and winked. He cast a spell causing the flame to change colors first to Hufflepuff yellow, then Araneae purple, then Emperor orange, and finally Gryffindor red. The colors kept up that pattern over and over...

Luna listens to his words and a grin forms on her face as she watches the colours. Her electric blue eyes danced with the flame and she looked back at him. ''I will try but let you win. I've never cared about winning. I'm only doing this for my father who believes i will not survive. Just to prove a point really..'' She shrugs. ''I will do what i can as well. All i'm worried about is if there are tasks that involve wands. I'm more of a hand to hand combat kinda girl but i've got my wand at the ready.'' She pulls out her slick black wand that was engraved with the moon's cycle and her family crest. A sword with a chain wrapped around it and a moon hanging off the chain. She waves it around and the colours from the flame emit from her wand in harmless fire sparks. She smiles and keeps waving it in small circles.

Cian watches as the sparks shoot out of Luna's wand. "I think we all have our weaknesses and our strengths. Whatever the tasks are, whatever they involve, you are brilliant enough to find a way to play to your strengths," he said looking at Luna, "I mean that." Cian's brown eyes were soft and showed that what he said was true, not just for the two of them, but for all four of the champions.

Luna listens to his words, believing them. She looks at him and see's his soft eyes. She rests her head on his shoulder and sighs. ''We all can do it. I mean it. We all can. We are survivors and fighters.'' Her eyes dance and she thinks about the other two champions. Where are they? Shouldn't they be here? She closes her eyes and breathes deeply, trying to calm herself down. She needed Achilles but he was avoiding her.

Cian nods in agreement and smiles at Luna. When she put her head on his shoulder and sighed, he could tell that there was more bothering her than the idea of this tournament. Normally he would ask, but he didn't want to upset her more than she already was. He simply put his arm around her and let her rest there as he looked out the tent door...

Clad in her champions shirt and a pair of black jeans, Kestrel ducked under the tents flap. She seemed to be one of the final ones to arrive but not the last. "Hello," she said taking note of Cian and Luna with a small smile.

Luna feels Cians arm wrap around her and she gives a small smile at the comfort. She hears a voice and her eyes flickered up to see the other champion, Kestrel. "Hello." She says with a small voice. She looks at Cian and gives a bigger smile. "Thanks for the talk." She walks to her section and lays on her cot, staring at the ceiling with bright eyes. She unsheathed a silver dagger and spun it in her hands. She had two more in each boot and felt they would come in handy along with her wand. She holds the handle lightly and the tip touches her index finger, spinning with out cutting her. It calmed her down slightly.

Cian looked up as Kestrel entered. He smiled and nodded in greeting to her. When Luna thanked him for the talk, he took her hand and kissed the back of it, "Any time, Luna." He winked at her before she walked to her section and lay on her cot. "Kestrel, ready for today?" he asked.

Dellen strode into the ten her all bussiness attitude in place "Champions" she said "Gather round" as they did as told she began to speak "Today you four will face off against four separate monsters, you will only have your wands in this fight and summoning tools to aid you is forbidden you must injure your opponent, not kill them and get the object they are protecting and back to the starting podium or you will lose the championship, if you are in dire need of help send up red sparks and we will come to your aid, now go back to your cots an owl awaits you with your creature"

OOC: In a few moments you will receive an owl telling you where you will find the object you need to find, while you will be fighting a creature controlled by another person in character, you will also be searching for an item hidden on the forum. The item that your character should find has your first intiial on it, bring back the wrong item and you lose. Once you find the item you must owl me its location. (if I do not acknowledge you found it then let me know in chat)

Each owl will have a riddle inside that will detail where to go, it is your task alone to solve it.

Luna gathers around her deputy head and listens carefully. She walks back to her cot with her daggers in hand. "Guess there is no use for these today." She opens a wooden box next to her, revealing a red velvet padding where the daggers go. She places them inside and closes the case with her shaky hands. She sits down and looks into the flame again.
Luna was in a trance with the dancing flame until she heard an owl land next to her. She turns to see her black owl, Celeste and she strokes her head seeing an envolope. She swallows past the lump in her throat and opens it, reading the contents. Her electric blue eyes darkened and she growls. A giant spider. Acromantula to be exact. She reads her riddle and frowns. Her mind thinks. 'What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!' She breathes deeply and feels a bird land on her shoulder. She turns to see her crow and she gives a small smile, feeling slightly comforted. She keeps looking at the envolope and couldn't tear her eyes away, thinking of what her riddle means.

Kestrel shrugged. "No but I will have to be." Hogwarts' deputy headmistress entered the tent and wasted no time addressing them. Her hands clenched slightly as she heard of the task awaiting them. It was no surprise that the thing she dreaded most would be thrown at her first. She walked back to her cot where an owl was waiting. Kestrel took the parchment from it and her eyes scanned it over. She did not allow herself to be relieved, however, because she was given a centaur as an opponent. She would need to be careful.

Cian joined his fellow champions around the Hogwarts Deputy Headmistress. He nodded his understanding of the task and then returned to his cot. Just as he sat, a great horned owl landed at his feet. Cian took the letter, opened it, and read it. After feeding the owl, he crumpled the paper as he thought about his task... A mermaid... Siren of the sea.... Cian pulled the curtan to allow him some privacy as he changed into swimming shorts and tank top that were designed for him as champion. After changing, he opened the curtain, and propped his rigt foot on the end of the cot. He attached his leather wand holster around his lower leg. Then he took a seat and began to plan....

Luna watches everyone elses reactions to their creature and sees Cian had changed into a swimsuit. She though to herself 'Must be a Mermaid...' She looks at the crow on her shoulder and closed the curtains around her cot. She looks down at herself and shakes her head. She opens her trunk and pulls out a champion jumper. She places it on and puts on some protective armbands. She let down strands of her frame her electric blue eyes that were filled with determination...but fright. She had to go into a dark cave and she always had nightmares about it. She puts her wand in a thigh holster and opens the curtains causing the crow to land back on her shoulder. She looks at it's beady eyes. "You can't come with me. You know you can't. Go to Achilles or Jocelyn. Watch over them and if I go...stay with them." She says to it and strokes its beak. It nudges her cheek and wipes a tear she didn't know had fallen. She sighs and the crow stays. "You can stick with me until the task but you must go once it's begun." It flutters it's wing and Luna smiles. She strokes it and looks at the floor.

Sirius entered just as the old hag began the little speech. He looked at Dellen as she explained everything. He moved to his part of the tent, where his owl awaited. He picked up his letter and opened it with his index finger. "FUCK!!!" He yelled. He looked around, and suddenly closed the curtain. A dragon? Man, holy crap... He looked down, and placed his hand on his forehead. Geez, a dragon was a bit exaggerated. What told the hag and Dumbledore it wouldn't just get up and destroy the whole school. In any way, Sirius was already comfortable. He had a simple top on, with his shield imputed in it. He was nowhere near close to being ready. But he had to try. He wasn't simply gonna give up when faced with such a challenge.
