Back In the Saddle

Post by Guest on Mon Jul 08, 2013 7:04 pm

Jericho Young took a deep steadying breath as he waited his turn to enter the Ministry of Magic. It had been six months since he was last there. A hard, long six months. But it was time... He could feel it... When it was his turn, he stepped into the bathroom stall and flushed himself in.

He appeared in one of the many entrances on the main floor and stepped out. He rolled his shoulders slightly, the black leather of his jacket creaking slightly with his movement. Jericho walked up to the main desk to see the receptionist he had always greeted in the morning and in the evening. When he reached the desk, he touched the small bell that you ring for help when no one was there. The little brunette looked up and a wide smile spread across her face. "Well, look who it is. Welcome back, Jericho. You've really been missed around here," she said as she moved from her desk around to him and gave him a big hug. "Take it easy for a while, alright?" she whispered to him before releasing him from her hug and returning to her seat. "I will do my best, but you know me," he said with a wink, trying to sound like his old self, but somehow falling short. He then turned to head towards the stairs that would lead to his office on the second floor.

Having been summoned there by his boss, Christian had gained another assignment to add to his collection. 'Well... they wish to work me to the bone...' he chuckled to himself, smiling. He decided to take the stairs this time, which may have actually been a good thing since he noticed an old acquaintance of his coming down from them. "Mr. Young! It's been ages!" he called out to him, speeding up his climb to catch up to him.

Jericho turned at the sound of a familiar voice. "Mr. Blackwell, indeed it has," he said waiting for the man to catch up to him. He held out his hand in greeting. "How have you been? They keeping you busy?" he asked, trying to make conversation.
