Emotions arising

Luna runs to the black lake, just missing a tree. She falls to her knees and feels her body shake. "I'm sorry everyone...I didn't think I'd become a champion but no matter what, I will not give up. Not ever. I will come back safe. Unharmed. Whole." She punches the floor and sighs. "I will not say I've made a mistake as I do this for you all. Achilles...I've barely seen you. You don't know I'm of the champions do you? I'm sorry.." She whispers is all to herself and then she strips down to a camouflage looking bikini and dives in the water, feeling her muscles untense. She stays under water for a long time and goes back up, smoothening her hair back. She looks into the water and she just swims.

Jocelyn runs through the trees to the black lake and she stands still, luckily no one is here so Jocelyn let herself fall and cries. She didn't want Luna to be in that tournament, she didn't want to lose her. Her only best friend. Jocelyn looked at the sky. "please Archimedes, please, she is my only friend and i can't stand another death.. Please....." Tears rolled over her cheeks as she looked at the moon.

Boo Hoo. Sirius thought, looking over at the other Hogwarts Champion. This girl was now in danger, and although Sirius didn't really like her, he wanted to be helpful. Sirius approached the water, as Luna got in. He took his clothes off and hid them in the tree. He turned into a dog and dived in the water. Swimming after Luna, he growled and barked a bit, so she'd look back at him. Sirius wanted to help the kid at least not die during the tournament.

Due to Lunas connection to the moon, the hairs on the back of her next stood on end and she turns around. She sees Jocy crying and talking. "The fact that you think I'm going to die hurts me." She calls to her with a sad smile. "Don't worry Hun I ain leaving ya. You're stuck with me." She grins. She hears a growl and a bark she spins around to see a black dog. "Hello...who might you be?" She swims a little closer sensing some familiarity.

The black dog noticed Jocelyn in the back. He growled at her, motioning a hidden place where Jocelyn could not see. He began to change back to Sirius, and spoke. "Follow me." Before Luna could see who it was, Sirius's body fell into the lake, and he turned into a dog again. He started swimming a bit, and got out of the lake, running to the tree he had let his clothes on. He turned back into Sirius and got dressed. When he heard Luna coming, Sirius leaned against the tree. "Hey there. Glad my dog brought you here..."

Luna tilts her head and stared. She followed and turned back to Jocelyn. "I have to go back to my dorm." She lied smoothly and walked away to see Sirius leaning against a wall. "Hello to you too." She magics on some shorts and puts her hands on her hips. "Nice dog...why did it bring me to you? I thought you hated me." she says with a perfect eyebrow raised.

"Hate you? Nah Nah Nah...I simply don't like you. But that can change." Sirius watched as Luna putted on her shorts. She really didn't need too, as Sirius wasn't gonna look at her. He pretty much had something else on his mind. "We're both champions. We're both in the tournament. But I've looked at the statics. So, you're fucked." Sirius had truly investigated a bit about every champion. "Cian and Kestrel study dark arts. I'm the oldest, fastest, strongest competitor, and you're...the youngest...you need help. And that's why I'm here. I don't want anyone from Hogwarts to die. So, partners?" He asked, extending his hand.

Luna listens to his words and started to believe him. She was fucked. Skyla so wouldn't help and Astra is not in the right frame of mind. Aurora would help though but someone older..someone like Sirius would be great leverage. She grabs his hand and looks into his eyes as if looking for something. "Partners." She knew her father would be thrilled that she's partners with someone from the black family. The family he was so loyal to. She smiles at him and let's go of his hand. "Thanks Sirius...the feelings are mutral by the way. In fact, I respect you a lot." She shrugs and looks around.

Jocelyn stood there left alone in the dark by she thought that was her friend. Jocelyn gave Luna a glare while she walked away. Why would she walk away like that, she knew Luna wasn't going to her dorm. Jocelyn followed Luna and hid behind a tree and saw Luna talking to the boy who threathened her and used magic on her. Jocelyn appeared with her arms crossed. "You just leave me standing there while you lie to me and tell me that you have to go to your dorm. Thanks for being a friend to me while i worry about you Luna. You didn't even gave me the chance to explain myself but you know what i get it! Just be around the scumbag here, i don't need you as my friend." Jocelyn glared at her.

Luna spun around and saw Jocelyn. Her eyes widened looking like a full moon as she heard her words. "Jocy..don't do this...please. I need his help. I have no chance in winning this tournament...I really don't. If I become partners with him, then I have leverage. Besides I can see good in him. A lot actually. His girlfriend is the first friend I made here so if she trusts him, thn I should to. If I don't get his help...then I'll probably get killed. Yes you may worry about me but I'm worried too Jocelyn. I do no want to die so don't throw away our friendship just 'cause I spoke to the person you referred to scumbag." She had her wand out at this point and she didn't even know she got it out. She looks at her hand and looks around to see a crow in a nearby tree. It flew onto her shoulder and looks at Jocelyn with beady black eyes. Luna puts the wand away and turns to walk away. "If you wish to not be my friend, then I will go. But doing this, you cant come back to me. You can't apologise for the mistake you're making. I can't come to you either. You'll lose me. Do you think you can do that? Do you think you can lose a friend, a protector? Be sure you are making the right choice, Joceyln Grimm." She says looking over the shoulder the crow isn't on, in a vey calm strong voice. "You have about 10 minutes before I erase myself from your memory as its easier that way." She says with tearful eyes but still a strong voice. She spun her wand in her hand and the crow nudges her cheek.

Sirius sighed at the sight of the irritating kid. That Jocelyn didn't know how to shut up. Sirius had thought he had already shown her not to disrespect him. "Call Scumbag to someone who doesn't have anything to say about it. If you want Luna to die, fine with me. Hell, if you don't care about her, I'll kill her myself. Understood? Now stop whining. If you were in her situation, tell me you wouldn't do the same. Would you rather leave all your friends?" Sirius had to speak up. Jocelyn was creating a big injustice with her words, and they were taking quite the toll on Luna. "Now I don't know what kind of close relationship you have with Luna. But I'm sure other people want her alive as well. So live with the fact that I'm helping her." Sirius placed his hand on the only shoulder Luna had free. "I'm not letting her die..."

Luna smiles. "Thank you Sirius...really." She hugs him and kisses his cheek in a kind and friendly manner. She turns to Joceyln. "Take it from my point of view. My name means moon. Moon can be symbolised as a protector. I've already told you I'll protect you always so I'm doing that now by getting a partner and if we survive, perhaps a friend. I need all the help I can get and you're willing to throw away a friendship? Remember 10 minutes and I'll erase myself. Makes it easier." She states, the crow nudges her again and it looks at Jocelyn, fluttering it's wings. She tilts her head and clenches and unclenches her free fist.

Jocelyn looked how Luna's wand appeared in her hand, that only made Jocelyn more angry. "You lied to me! Why would you need him for? What are the stories that you told me about you, are that lies to make me feel better, to let me feel i'm not alone? You can survive this without any help Luna and you know that. I just panicked over you because i thought you were my only real friend and i was worried about what others might do to you. I tell you everything and you wouldn't even come to me with you being beaten up, you couldn't just honestly tell me that you had to and follow that boy without me instead you just lied to me! Look at you, you are scared of me....Who says i'm going to hurt you, or were you just going to curse me just like him?" Jocelyn pointed at the boy next to Luna and then shook her head and looked at the boy and hissed. "Don't talk to me, you are in no position to talk to me after what you have done." Jocelyn looked at Luna for the last time and then turned around, she stood still, tears in her eyes.

"Seems like the little kid is getting of her playing ground." Sirius said, letting Luna caress him. She was probably very worried. "Look here Jocelyn. Luna is as good as dead. You think people don't die in that tournament? People older than me have died. More experienced than me. And Luna? Who's younger, less experienced, do you think she has a chance against me? Or Cian to be completely fair? Or even Kestrel? I'm helping her...and I'm 4 years older than you. I expect some respect...or do you hold one year old grudges? Because I really don't care about anything I did to you in the past. In fact, I simply don't care for you." Sirius was not trying to hurt Jocelyn. But she was acting pretty dumb. If Luna wished help, she'd get help. Sirius couldn't let her just perish.

Jocelyn turned around and looked at Luna but spoke to the boy. "It is not about the damn tournament anymore, she can do whatever she wants to do. I only tell her she can do it on her own but i don't care about what she is going to do. What if you are erasing your memories? You'll always be seeing me because i'm Achilles younger sister. Luna it is the fact you aren't treating me like your friend, why do you have to lie to me, why do you have to grab your wand? I didn't even do something to you! Just forget what i said to you, or curse me whatever you want to do to me, just come out alive not for me but for my brother." Jocelyn turned around and made her way back to the black lake.

Luna couldn't help it. She laughed darkly. "Me? Scared of you? Whatever gave you that idea? I lied to you 'cause you'd think it's weird I followed a fucking dog here? I lied so I can figure it out myself. You didn't have to follow. I have private business in my lIfe that doesn't concern you. This didn't concern you. Those stories are true. Why would I make them up? One lie and you think I'm some lying bitch now? Thanks a lot hun. I can't do this on my own. I'm sick and fucking tired of being alone. Yeah I didn't come to you when I got beat up 'cause I thought I deserved it! I didn't feel the need to tell people about that. So I see you choose to leave me, our friendship? Doing this means I stay clear from your whole family so they don't bring me into your mind again as I will erase myself if that is what you wish." She Points her wand towards Jocelyn. "So you want me to erase myself? Do you want to forget the firewhiskey? The ice cream? THe screaming with Achilles? Everything?" She says voice strong and no sign of cracking . She seemed taller, stronger and more confident. Mostly Paler. "Go ahead..make the RIGHT choice 'cause ive had enough of this crap." She states with calm eyes. She listens to her words and sighs. "listen. If this friendship Ends I couldn't be around Achiiles. Yes I love him but if I take away your memories me being around would bring those memories back." She says sadly.

Jocelyn turns around and looks at Luna. "So by every fight we have you are going to threathening me about erasing your memories because i don't want to be your friend anymore? Is that the easy way, do you want to throw your life away from my brother because you fought with me? You don't have to erase your memories because you know Achilles is going to kill himself. I just want some time alone now, just leave me alone because like you said i don't have to be involved in your shit all the time so i guess you don't have to know what i really wanted to say to you before you ran off." Jocelyn grabbed the envelope and looked at it and then at Luna. "Sorry i bothered you." Jocelyn turned around and walked away. She sat down by the water and looked at the envelope who was still in her hands..

Luna groans and kneels on the floor wishing her father was there. "If only she knew the real reason as to why I became partners with you. Excuse me Sirius but I best be off to solve whatever the fuck this is. Ever need me just go to the owls, find a black owl with a white dot on its forehead next to this crow or just call Celeste and it will fly to you." She says and takes off fast, finding her at the water. "Jocy...listen. I'd take the memories away because...I don't want you to feel...hurt anymore. I heard why you said to Reaper and...I just don't want you to be hurt. I would erase then because...I don't want to fight the urge to come to you, comfort you? Be your protector when you hate me now." She stares into the water letting a single tear slip down her cheek. "I have become partners with Sirius because I really don't think I will be able to survive without him. Also because of my father. Nocte Valkyrie. Loyal to the Blacks...very loyal. All the Valkyries were a long time ago. My family were protectors for pureblood families however the blacks don't know their last names only the first. I am this generation of blacks protectors as my sisters refused when I agreed. I hope you understand now." She says with moon like eyes.

Still staring at the letter in her hands she listens to Luna. She shook her head. "I don't hate you Luna. You are my first real best friend, i never had a friend so i don't know how to act around you with this kind of things. I don't want you to erase your memories because i don't want my brother to hate me if i tell him it is all my fault and don't you dare to say to me it is not." Jocelyn put the letter away and pulled herself up and looked at her. "I'm just having a hard time trusting people that's all and i will always be hurt whether you are in the tournament or not. I miss Reaper a lot and yes it is true and i talk to him because of that i tell him everything every night at the viaduct courtyard but that doesn't mean you have to erase your memories...or do you have another reason to erase them that has nothing to do with me?" Jocelyn asked her.
