Trying to Study

Ginny walked to the library, hoping to find a book to help her with her homework. She walked to a table, and put some parchment, ink, and a quill on the table. She looked at the parchment, thinking about which subject she should start with first.

Elin was browsing the library, looking for something interesting to read. Nothing caught her eye, so she just pulled out some books at random and hoped to get lucky. Looking around for a place to sit, she saw an empty spot just beside a Hufflepuff girl who looked about the same age as she was. "Is this place taken?" She asked

Ginny looked up, seeing a Gryffindor girl, come up to her. "No, it's empty." She said. She thought this girl looked like a first year. "I'm Ginny, by the way." She said.

Angel lazily strolled into the library, a few books tucked away in her book bag. Angel wandered around a bit before she spotted Ginny and another girl," Hey Gin," Age, said sitting across from leer ," Hey," Angel greeted the other girl with a nod.

Ginny saw Angel, sit across from her. "Hi Angel!" She said, smiling. She wondered why Angel was in the library, she had said it wasn't her place to hang out. She decided not to ask.

" So Ginny, where are you going for summer break,? Angel asked remembering the term was coming to an end.

"Well, I'd probably go back home to California." She said. "How about you?" She asked Angel. She wondered if Angel lived in the States also.

Angel shrugged," Dunno yet," she said," Where ever my heart decides to take me I guess,"

Ginny nods. She wondered why Angel wouldn't go to her house, but decided not to ask.

" So are you going to see your cousins from-," Angel paused trying to remember the school Ginny had told her about," Your cousins that go to the other school,"

"Oh, you mean Wolfclaw." Ginny said. "I will." She said.

" Ginny, I was always wondering, but why don't your cousins go to Hogwarts?" Angel asked.

Ginny thought for a moment. "I dunno." She said. "I think it's because it's more about Dueling, and Dark Arts. They've always liked that type of stuff." She said.

" Interesting," Angel said with a sarcastic glint In her eyes. " Liking Dark Arts usually isn't something to look past. It's a red flag,"

Ginny nods. "I don't really see it as a red flag, I guess it's because I've grown up with them." She said. She remembered she used to want to go to Wolfclaw, but she couldn't if she wanted to or not.

Elin sat down and said "I'm Elin" to Ginny. She grabbed a book and tried to read, but unable to concentrate, she looked up and suddenly found that another girl had joined them. She decided not to interrupt their conversation, but she caught a mention of Wolfclaw, making her wonder what they were talking about. She put down her book to listen.

Ginny nods at the girl, named Elin. "That's a nice name, Elin." She said smiling.

"Thanks," Elin said to Ginny. Turning to the Ravenclaw girl, she asked "And do I have the honor of knowing your name?" Trying not to giggle as she said it, she managed to keep a straight face while waiting for her to answer.

Angel eyed the Gryffindor, suspiciously," Angel," she said simply seeing as though she really hadn't known Elin to be nice.

Ginny noticed Angel was looking at Elin suspiciously. I wonder why? she thought.

Elin caught Angel's suspicious look. What did I do? she thought to herself. I don't think we've met, so what could I have possibly done? Did I accidentally push her down the stairs or something? Looking back at Angel with her eyebrows slightly raised, she said politely "Nice to meet you then, Angel. Umm... Did I do something?"

Angel shrugged, smiling a little" Don't worry Elin, I never trust people when I first meet them, but you seem okay,"

Relieved, Elin smiled and Angel. Noticing that she hadn't sat down, Elin said "Do you want to sit down? There isn't an invisible person sitting on that chair you know." Grinning as she said so, she moved her books to give Angel some space.

Angel nodded and seated herself next to Elin," So Elin, what are you doing after term ends,"

"I don't know... No plans there, maybe spend the holidays at home...Read, I guess..." Elin answered vaguely. She hadn't thought much about the holidays. "How about you?" she asked.
