Anger Management (open)

“Crucio.” The red light shot towards a young woman, one of the waitresses from the Three Broomsticks if he remembered correctly, and she fell to the ground, writhing and twitching as she screamed. Thanatos watched on with a blank expression on his face as yet another person fell victim to his random bouts of rage. No one would step in out of fear of the revenge the death eaters would take if one of their loyal followers would be harmed. At first, Than had taken pleasure in playing with the blood traitor, but lately, he did not even care anymore whom he tortured as long as he could hurt them. His frustration with the current situation was growing with every day and so was his anger which he took out on everyone who could not or would not defend themselves. And if he was honest with himself, he was getting sick and tired of it all.

Antares grinned and shook her head as her friend walked away from the door to the Three Broomsticks. While she was ready for a break from their shopping, her friend had insisted on continuing to another store. So, as a compromise, Antares had said that she would just pop in to the inn for a butterbeer or two, and then she’d catch up with her. Turning back to the door, she heard a commotion inside. Or more so, she heard screams. The Ravenclaw had been around torture enough in her life to know curse was being used on someone just from the way that they screamed. Slipping through the door, she went over to the bar, where the manager was oddly missing, so she reached over behind it and grabbed a glass before using the tap of butterbeer to fill it. Dropping a coin on the bar, she turned back so that she could lean against it and said, “some people would call doing that here tasteless, you know?”

Thanatos barely glanced up as someone entered the pub; either someone from his side, then they wouldn't care, or someone from the other, then they wouldn't dare to interfere with him. He couldn't care less, to be honest and only when a female voice addressed him, did he look up, shrugging at the girl. "Who cares about taste anymore ... halfblood death eaters pretending to be all high and mighty, the bloodtraitors just submitting and giving up ... it's all just fucked up anyway, if you ask me." he stated, his voice sounding much more exhausted than pissed off, though his eyes were still flashing angrily. With a disgusted snarl, he lifted the curse of the woman who crawled away from him, all the while whimpering pitifully. "Pathetic ... " he spat and marched over to the bar to pour himself a drink as well.

Antares sipped at her drink, pulling herself up onto the bar beside her. Crossing one leg over the other lazily, she watched on with a smirk as the older boy took out his anger on the young woman. She had to be either a Death Eater or a sympathiser, because she wouldn't have been able to get a job otherwise. "You're right," Antares said, not being able to come up with a good argument, "but surely there are more suitable people to be torturing?" Turning on the seat so that she could continue facing the Slytherin. "You having trouble keeping the wand down with these people always hanging around, huh?" she asked, sipping from her glass.

Leaning against the bar, Thanatos downed his drink in one go without stopping before pouring himself another shot which he sipped on more slowly. He had taken up drinking a while ago, it managed to loosen him up a bit and make him feel better, especially as his siblings were hardly around anymore. Running a hand through his longer hair, Thanatos looked over to the Ravenclaw and shrugged at her statement. He did feel a little more relaxed around her now that he saw her actually smirking at the show he had made of the woman, so he smirked back at her, his spirits lifting a little.

“That’s true, but lately the mudbloods and bloodtraitors hide away in the castle and I wasn’t in the mood to bother finding a suitable victim, so she had to be it. She’s just some stupid halfblood anyway that stays here out of fear. It’s good that she sometimes gets reminded of her place, right?” he gave back, throwing his now empty glass at the still cowering woman. “So, what leads you here, just the good drinks?” he asked, glancing back at the other student.

“Unfortunately we are limited in what we can do at Hogwarts,” she said slowly, “we’re supposed to somehow coexist as if those people deserve to be there. It’s pathetic. There was a time, before the curse lifted at Hogwarts, that we were actually given muggles to play with. Like toys. We got our wands early, and we went to town on them. Now there are all of these rules.” Had she enjoyed harming those people? Not particularly. Did she wish she had the freedom back to do so if she wanted to? Absolutely. There was something great to be felt when you could do, and get away with, whatever you pleased. “I was dragged to the town by a friend,” she replied, dropping her half full glass on the ground an arms length away from her, watching as it shattered before jumping over to the other side of the bar, “stopped in here for a breather. I didn’t expect to get a show as well.”

As she spoke, she crouched down to look through the cupboards underneath the bar, knowing that almost every place kept their best stuff off the shelves. If you needed to see it to want it, you weren’t good enough to have it. “Ah ha!” she said, standing again with two bottles of the finest firewhiskey in the British isles, pulling the top from the bottle and pouring a glass, “this stuff.. is so much better than Ogden's. Do not waste it.”
