I didnt do it (Open)

Post by Sophia Mckinnon on Mon Oct 05, 2015 8:02 pm

Sophia walked into the kitchens and sat down as she waited for a house elf to ask her what she wanted. When one did, she requested a plate of sugar cookies. As they began working, one of the ovens caught on fire. Her eyes widened in panic and she rushed over and used magic to put the fire out, "Aguamenti Maxima." The fire was eventually put out and she tried her best to calm down all the panicked house elves

So far that year, Lavender had managed to avoid much confrontation, despite her clear stance in the war. She didn’t know what it was that made them skirt around her rather than trying to get to her like many of the other kids from the Order had experienced, but she selfishly allowed herself to be glad for it. Stepping through the portrait hole to the kitchen, she immediately rushed into the main room and looked around, her eyes narrowing on the girl. “What the bloody hell are you doing?” she asked, glancing around at the house elves who looked a little frightened at her sudden appearance. Her expression softened, knowing that the scaring that appeared sporadically over her face and body made her look crueler than she was. “I’m sorry,” she said to the elves, though she supposed she was saying it to the girl as well, “what happened?"

Sophia turned at the sound of a voice and she blushed and backed up a bit embarrassed and panicked and began speaking in rapid french to where the girl probably did not understand. She then realized she was in fact speaking in French and stopped and started over, "Sorry. I came down for a snack. When they began cooking, well, one of the ovens caught fire."

Lavender raised an eyebrow as the girl backed away and started talking in what she was sure was rapid French. She knew some of the language, but she wasn’t nearly fluent. “Spit it out, would you?” she snapped, “in English, preferably.” Her eyes narrowed a little when the girl explained what she had been doing, and how the fire had started. “Never, in my six year at this school, have the house elves started a fire,” Lavender said slowly, and she was also pretty sure that they hadn’t done so in the entire time they’d been employed at the school. Nor had any of the elves in her family home.

Sophia looked at the girl, "Are you saying it was my fault? I just came down and asked for a plate of cookies. I did not move from my chair the entire time! At least until after the fire started. But that was only so I could put it out and calm the house elves down." Sophia shouted getting a but frustrated with the rather rude girl

I didn’t say anything of the sort,” Lavender answered sharply, her eyes flashing in frustration at the little wisp’s attitude, “but they haven’t. So, either you did it, or you somehow made them do it. It’s only logic.” Whether it was logic or not, she didn’t like the way the girl shouted like a child. “If there was a group of newborns and one man surrounding a body that's been stabbed to death, who do you think would be accused?” the Gryffindor said, “and besides, what are you even doing in here? You know you’re not allowed, right?

"I did nothing of either sort, so I respectfully ask for an apology for such accusations." She rolled her eyes at the girls logic about babys stabbing grown men, "Like I said, i came for a snack." She did not know she was not allowed in the kitchens

Lavender burst out laughing, finding the girl’s words hilarious, though not quite enough to put that troublesome anger back in it’s box, because it was still pretty audacious. Perhaps she should have asked someone for help with that little problem at the start of term. “No,” she said as her laughter came to a sudden stop, and a smirk spread over her lips, “if you want an apology, you’re going to have to beg.” Voice even more husky than it had been before, she walked closer to the girl, until she was standing right in front of her. “Do you want me to make you beg, sweetheart?” she growled, her eyes darkening even as she tried to tell herself to back off the poor kid.

Sophia stared up at her, her eyes widening in fear. She however recalled Mios words and stayed calm, her wand in her hand, "No i would not, but I would like you to back up. You are invading my personal space." Sophia somehow knew the girl would not move so she backed up a bit and went to walk around her.

Lavender laughed dryly, shaking her head as the girl moved to walk past her. Reaching out, she took hold of the front of her clothes, roughing pulling her back until she was holding her against the wall. “I’m in your personal space, huh?” she snarled, leaning forward to nuzzle just behind the girl’s ear, closing her eyes and inhaling deeply. She froze in her movements and tried to pull herself back, but she had a grip in the girl’s clothes and she smelled so good. Taking a deep breath through her open mouth, she whispered in the girl’s ear, “are you scared?

Sophia grunted as she was pushed back against the wall and wished Mio was there. Or Vincent. Hell, she would even take Violet at this point. But she was not afraid. She looked the girl in the eye when she asked if she was and laughed, "Not even close. Ive seen little kids on halloween who are scarier than you."

Lavender had to laugh at the girl’s bravery- or in this case stupidity. She was a Gryffindor and even the small voice in her head that could still see reason was trying to tell the girl to shut her stupid mouth. Pressing her hand roughly against the girl’s shoulder, pushing her hard enough into the wall that it could have easily broken her collarbone, she brought the other hand up to drag her nails along her throat, tiling her head as she watched the way her fingernail left a trail on her skin. Flicking her eyes up to the girl’s, she smiled a sick smile and said, “you should be.

Sophia cried out in pain, not fear at the rough shove. She tried to kick out at the girl to get her to let her go, but it didnt work. Sophia froze when she felt the girls nails on her throat, luckily it did not break skin, but it still frightened Sophia a tiny bit

Lavender noticed the shift in the girl’s eyes. One that went from idiotic courage to slight fear, but it was enough. Grinning, Lavender brought her mouth to the girl’s throat, scraping a similar trail with her teeth as she had done with her nail a moment before. But she didn’t break the skin, because she knew she wouldn’t be able to stop herself if she did. Biting down softly at the join of the girl’s neck to her shoulder, she almost sunk her teeth in. But she pulled her head back quickly, her eyes back in line with the girl’s, their noses almost touching. “Are you scared now, little girl?” she asked, reaching up to grab a handful of the pretty blonde curls at the back of the Hufflepuff’s head.

Sophia jerked her head back and ended up bashing it against the wall, causing immense pain to travel through her skull and her to cry out in pain. When the girl grabbed her hair she just glared at her, not saying a word

Lavender felt the moisture in her hand, seeping from the back of the girl’s scalp, from where she had hit her head against the wall, and into her hair. She dug her fingers in roughly at the point of the girl’s shoulder where they were still holding on, and she pulled her hand away from the blood stained locks. Staring at the blood in her own hand, she bit down on her lip, before looking back at the girl’s face. A sick smirk grew on her pretty, but scarred face as she placed her bloodied hand on the girl’s cheek, her thumb resting on her throat, holing her head up from the same side where she was holding her shoulder down. “I just might kill you, you know?” Lavender growled, closing her eyes as she moved her face over the girl’s neck, breathing in the smell and in a way tempting herself, despite herself.

Re: I didnt do it (Open)

Post by Neville Longbottom on Fri Oct 09, 2015 5:56 pm

Neville was on his way returning from the Ravenclaw common room, having walked Luna back there after their last class, as he had been doing since last year basically. It just wasn't safe for people to be on their own anymore and so he always made sure to take care of his friends. As he passed the kitchens, a commotion inside made him pause and Neville pushed the door open a crack to glance inside. The sigh that greeted his eyes, shocked him and he couldn't help but call out his friend's name. "Lavender!"

The Gryffindor girl had another student backed up against the wall and the younger girl was obviously hurt, judging from her pained expression. Lavender's bloody hand was leaving a mark on the other's cheek and the growl his friend produced was positively feral. Neville knew what had happened to her during the battle, but he could not let her harm another student. With a few long strides, Neville stood behind the other Gryffindor and placed his hand over her hand on Sophia's neck. "You have to stop, Lavender. Don't let the blood tempt you to act irrationally. Release her." he said calmly, but with force.

Sophias eyes quickly went to the boys who entered and she cried out for help. She didnt want to be there anymore. She felt dizzy to the blood loss from the gash on the back of her head and she felt herself getting weaker. She felt her eyes slowly starting to fall shut as she felt herself falling unconcious. She tried to stay awake, but soon her eyes closed and her body went limp

Lavender heard the door creak open, but she barely paid it any mind. She was too focused on the girl, helpless and bleeding in front of her. The part of her trying to tell the rest of her to stop was even louder now, but the smell of the blood was calling to her more. Much she knew, even then, that it wasn’t really the blood that she was so intoxicated with. It was the fear. She could smell it in the air and taste it on her lips and she made to bite the girl. Thoughts of tearing into the skin were consuming her, until she felt another hand over hers.

Pulling back slowly, a feral grin on her face she turned to look at the newcomer. But she hesitated before lashing out at the new person, instead staying where she was. Lavender new the boy. Where did she know him from? It was just there, at the edge of her mind, as she slowly pulled her hand away from the Hufflepuff’s shoulder and placed it on the boy’s cheek. She could rip him apart too, she could destroy them both. But before she could move, the girl had slipped from her fingers, but she didn’t spare her a glance.

Keep looking at him, the voice that had been so irritatingly loud in her head told her, and the anger was dying out of her so she did. It took a few minutes, but her eyes slowly softened, her other hand moved to cup his face as well and she let out a shaky breath. “Neville,” she finally whispered, her eyes widening as they welled with moisture and realisation, “Neville. I.. I didn't.. I couldn't-” Before she could get a coherent sentence through her lips, she started to step backward, moving faster until her back hit the wall on the other side of the room. Sliding down it onto the ground, she buried her hands in her hair, and her gaze finally shifted to the girl.

Neville waited calmly for his friend to show any reaction to his presence, knowing that in her current state of mind that might take a while, but he was nothing if not patient and when the Hufflepuff girl fainted, he was more relieved that for now she was out of the picture and would not do anything to agitate Lavender any more. When she finally turned towards him, Neville had to force himself not to take a step back when he was faced with the truly frightening sight of a feral grin on the usually pretty girl’s face. Still, he knew that somewhere inside of the werewolf, there had to be the human mind left and he just needed to help her find her way back to it, so he kept himself still and just gazed back into her large eyes.

Even when she reached out with her hand towards his face, he did not move an inch and instead let her touch his cheek with a surprisingly gentle hand. Every so slowly, Neville saw some recognition dawn in the girl’s eyes and he breathed a sigh of relief when her face morphed into a more human expression. “Lavender, it’s alright … “ he told her in a low, soft voice, seeing how shocked she seemed at her own actions and he tried to reach out to her, but she backed away from him, sinking down against the wall on the other side of the room. Slowly, Neville approached her and sat down next to her with his back against the wall and their knees almost touching, just trying to offer some comfort with his presence.

It hurt him to see a friend so distraught and it just drove home the point of how unfair the world sometimes was, letting such a brave young girl have to go through something like this. “You stopped, that’s all that matters. You're stronger than this.” He told her, keeping his voice soothing, yet confident. “And no one got hurt … not seriously. She just fainted.” Neville said, following Lavender’s gaze towards the Hufflepuff. He would have to take her to the hospital wing afterwards, but for now, she was not in any immediate danger, so his friend came first.

Re: I didnt do it (Open)

Post by Lavender Brown on Sat Oct 17, 2015 2:48 am

Lavender’s eyes stayed on the girl, wide and absolutely terrified of what she’d done. It was not so much that she had attacked the girl, but that she hadn’t really been the one to do it. This part of her, a part that she’d tried so desperately to avoid- to pretend it didn’t exist, had taken over. She wondered if it was because she’d tried to ignore it that it had been so persistent. After all, it had only been a familiar face that had been able to stop her from going all out psychotic. Even if the sane part of her, the Lavender part, had been fighting, it hadn’t been doing any good.

She finally allowed herself to look at Neville, more afraid of his reaction than of the girl who she didn’t even know. Neville had been in her year and house- they’d originally been more acquaintances than friends, but being in Dumbledores Army had changed many people’s perspectives of each other. During a time when her greatest worry had been whether her latest assignment was in on time, she’d even had a tiny crush on the boy who everybody saw to be a coward. Of course, she’d been so embarrassed by it that she hadn’t even told Pavarti, but now she held an unyielding respect for him. And he’d seen her ready to kill someone.

Lavender’s lower lip trembled as the thought of that again. She’d been willing and excited to kill a girl, and she couldn’t even remember why. Had she even done anything wrong? “No, Neville,” she whispered, “I didn’t stop. You stopped me. If you weren’t here...” Despite her want to distance herself from him, she let herself seek comfort from her friend, even just for a moment. Falling gently against him, she buried her face in his shoulder as she started to cry. She’d once been a crier, but that had changed quickly when she realised that boys and bitchiness were not things to be so upset about. But now, she cried, and she didn’t even stop when she heard the whimper of the girl she’d made faint. “I was going to kill her,” she mumbled through her harsh but quiet sobs, “I couldn’t stop it..

Re: I didnt do it (Open)

Post by Neville Longbottom on Tue Nov 03, 2015 2:53 pm

For what seemed like hours, Lavender just continued to stare are the unconscious Hufflepuff girl with a truly horrified expression on her face and Neville became immensely worried about the state of mind of his friend. She had always been such a positive girl, but ever since the battle of Hogwarts, she had her very own monsters to fight and it was hard not to be able to be of any help. Unfortunately, some things had to be defeated from within and Neville could only make sure to always be there to offer support if it was needed and wanted. He had no doubt that his friend could be strong enough to learn to control the beast inside of her, but it would need time and a strong will to fight.

When at last she turned her head to look back at him, Neville felt his body relax a bit, whereas before he had been high-strung and ready to jump after her should she try to bolt from the room. In her current state, it wasn’t a good idea to run around the castle and he was worried that either she would lose control again or someone would attack her while she was this upset. It was better if she stayed here for a while to get some control back over herself and he was willing to stay with her for as long as she needed.

“But I was … I was here to stop you and I will stop you again and again till you can stop yourself. We’ll get you through this, Lavender, I promise. And if I have to follow you everywhere, I will make sure that you don’t hurt anyone against your will. You’re not a killer, but you’re fighting one and I know how hard and exhausting that must be, but you must not give up.” Neville spoke to her in a low, but intent voice as he held her against his chest while she cried. Running a hand over her hair soothingly, he just let her spill her tears, not caring that his shirt was getting slightly damp on his shoulder. It was better to let emotions take their curse than try to repress them, as they had the bad habit of resurfacing when you least expected them. Her words made him thoughtful and once again, Neville wondered how he could help his friend. He still did not know much about werewolves even though he had read some articles about them. “Do you often feel the urge to hurt or kill someone? Is it a general need or does it just happen when you’re provoked? Maybe you shouldn’t try to fight this … part of you, but find a way to satisfy it without causing too much destruction?” he wondered, just loud enough for her to hear. Maybe giving the wolf the chance to hunt and fight would make it more manageable and easier to control, but maybe it would also just make it stronger. With a sigh, Neville ran a hand through his hair before resting it against Lavender’s back.
