High on Unfamiliar Emotions (Emmet, M..possibly)

Mayari glared at the castle before her grey eyes landed on the forest that was supposedly Forbidden despite many people escaping into it for solitude. Her military boots kicked at stones, shooting them far off into the darkness of the night before the white haired girl sat down underneath a willow tree. Pulling out a packet of joints, she rested one on her pink lips before her silver engraved zippo lighter flipped open, its beautiful flame lighting it. Pocketing both items, keeping them close in her leather jacket, she let out a puff of smoke. A gentle sigh escaped, dancing and swirling right before her but her ears twitched at the sound of a twig snapping. Narrowing her eyes where the sound came from, she parted her lips and spoke....''Who's there?'' Mayari called out.

Emmet poked his head out from behind the willow tree that Mayari was sat under, "Its only me..." He gave a friendly smile and sat next to her, leaning back against the tree and sighing deeply. "So, you come here too?" He said quietly, eyes still peacefully shut. "Seems most everyone does nowadays." Opening his eyes finally he looked over to the lit joint between her fingers. He looked at her briefly with an almost condescending look, and then looked away, motioning at her to hand him the joint. "So... what brings you here?" He said quietly.

Mayari turned around, her lips curving up in a slight smile at the sight of her housemate, Emmet. Patting the space next to her, she pulled her knees close to her chest and nodded. ''Yeah...I've been coming here since our first day in this hellhole. I miss wolfclaw already..'' She let out a groan of annoyance before seeing the look in Emmet's eyes before her groan turned into a sigh and she threw the packet of her pre rolled joints onto his lap and then her lighter. ''Knock yourself out..'' She quipped. Mayari's head tilted at his question, wondering why he was actually talking to her but shrugged it aside. ''My dorm- mates dislike the fact I smoke and drink so they pretty much kicked me out.'' Shrugging, she took a drag and blew a smoke ring towards Emmet.

"Well if you miss it so much, its only over there." Pointing towards the castle in the distance he laughed lightly. Emmet jolted slightly as the items were casually thrown into his lap. Placing the joint between his lips he lit it up and took a drag from it. Coughing up the smoke he sighed and smiled. "They dislike the fact that you... " Emmet pause for a moment, and then chuckled to himself. "Really? I mean sure, your no saint but what do they expect?" He twirled the joint between his fingers and took another puff from it, coughing slightly again he continued. "Were teenagers, teenagers are supposed to act like that..." Pausing for a moment he thought to himself. ...Well were not supposed to, but its a rarity that we don't." He said, finally.

Mayari chuckled and took her stuff from his lap, shoving them back onto her own lap. Taking another drag, she almost laughed at Emmet's coughing. ''First time or just not used to it?'' She asked, raising her eyebrow before hearing his words. Sighing, she let a strand of her white hair fall into her face. ''I got stuck with some prissy little girls, caring more about make up and their..'crushes' than anything else.'' Her voice was nearly filled with disgust at the thought. Yes she wore make up but she really didn't need to. Her tattoos drew everyone away from her face to her body. ''Not a saint? Now Emmet...That hurt my feelings.'' Faking a pout, she shoved her house mate gently and nodded slowly. ''We're supposed to be rebellious...'' Mayari quipped, her little smile growing by the second.

"First time..." Emmet said, with a slight hint of embarrassment. "... thought it might help me relax." He chuckled slightly and continued "All its doing is making me look like a wimp." Perking up slightly at his roomates apparent disgust he quipped "Aww come on now, crushes aren't so bad..." He rested his head on her shoulder and looked up at her mockingly "You get that warm fuzzy feeling inside you every time you see them, spending hours fantasizing about the future you could have together? But most importantly, wondering if... no, hoping that you might get to see them naked! Emmet laughed and sat up again. Smiling at the light shove he almost rebounded back to resting on her shoulder. Well, would you say your a saint?"Sitting up once again he continued. "Well, rebellious is one thing but you are kinda on another level."

Mayari bit her lip to stop her from laugh, she pinched his cheeks mockingly. ''Awww, little Emmet is embarrassed!'' She teased, finding him weirdly cute at even admitting such a thing. Raising her eyebrow at him resting his head on her shoulder, she playfully ruffled his hair, distracted for a moment at the softness of it. His description of crushes caused a fluttering feeling inside of her stomach and was thankful of how dark it was, hiding the slight tint of a rosy blush on her cheeks. ''Nah...I'm more of a devil!'' She joked before furrowing her brow. ''What do you mean...another level?'' Mayari asked, licking her lips slowly out of habit.

"Well, um.." Emmet stopped to think for a moment, he wasn't entirely sure where he was going with the previous comment. And Mayari licking her lips only served as a further distraction. "If you immagine rebelliousness, as a wasp..." He kept a stern look on his face as an attempt to hide the stream of bullshit that was about to pour from his mouth. "The bees rebellious older brother, getting into trouble and starting fights. Stinging whoever it pleases without thought for consequence..." Looking up briefly to check if he was getting away with it so far, he continued "So we have established the wasp is your common garden variety rebellious teenager, now you... are a hornet!" Now that he had a vague idea of where he was going, he could relax a bit. "You, are a wasp on steroids. Your rebelliousness has been amped up to a point where you are no longer just a wasp, you have become an entirely different entity." Pausingh for what seemed like the longest 5 seconds of his life he finally said "Do you see what im trying to get at?"

Mayari grinned, watching him think knowing she was a slight distraction. Raising her eyebrow at his strange words, her fingers touched his chin softly and made him look at her in the eye. Just as he did, she scanned his face with complete interest, her grin grew. ''That's the biggest load of bullshit i've ever heard..however i do understand.'' She said, her eyes locked with his. ''You're very strange, Emmet..'' She quipped, tilting her head slightly. ''I must admit..i like strange things.''

Emmets eyebrows raised suddenly, rather taken aback by Mayaris comment he stuttered through his next sentence, "Like...strange things? L... l... like how? I mean... what... level of like are we... talking about... here?" He was visibly nervous, and he wasn't even sure if he had a reason to be. She could just be saying she likes him as a friend, or she could be showing a genuine interest in him...

Mayari let a kind smile touch her lips, releasing his chin as her eyes glinted with amusement at his nervousness. ''I like strange things...strange people...Like you.'' She breathed out and looked him in the eyes again. ''Yeah...I like you.'' She simply said, more of her hair falling in front of her face as she looked down, almost embarrassed for saying such a thing.

Emmets heart leaped into his throat. He had his answer, she was in fact, showing an interest. As her hair fell in front of her face he felt a little easier, knowing that she wasn't 100% confident either somehow reassured him. Miraculously he managed to conjure up some confidence. Tucking a tuft of her hair behind her ear, he lightly took her by the chin and turned her to face him. "Looks like its your lucky day..." He said with a smile "...Because i like hornets." As soon as the words left his mouth the smile faded. Turning away from her, he mentally kicked himself for being so cheesy and cliched before saying at last "That was really shit wasn't it..."

Mayari faced him, leaning into his hands as her hair was tucked away. Letting her eyes slowly close, a smile danced on her lips and almost leaned in before feeling him turn away. Her eyes snapped open before realizing why. Letting out a gentle laugh, she moved so she was crouching above his knees, she looked him in the eyes again. ''No it wasn't..'' She whispered before a blush finally showed on her pale cheeks. ''It was cute..'' She whispered, resting her forehead against his.

Noticing her move to face him, he looked her straight in the eyes. They were utterly piercing. "Really?" He replied nervously. As she rested her forehead against his his whole body shuddered. She was gorgeous, witty and interested in him! Taking a deep breath he tilted his head just enough so that his lips met hers. Holding the kiss for what felt like an eternity his heart thumped against his chest as he simply enjoyed the moment.

Staring into his eyes, her heart beginning to beat faster and faster before feeling him shudder. Grinning in delight, she felt his lips capture hers and she straddled his lap, pressing into the kiss even more whilst her hands finally made their way back into his hair. She had wanted this moment for so long, staring at him in the hallways, thinking he wouldn't notice her but he did...He was handsome and knew he was perfect after thinking for a long time, perfection was just a thing someone made up. Feeling her fingers through his hair sent shivers down his spine, as she once again pressed her lips against his, he finally relaxed. All tension in his body just seemed to disappear.
