A new addition

Griffin moved quietly through the long aisles of old spell books, pleased to know he was surrounded by so much knowledge. Under his right arm, griffin carries an ancient text book. Griffin took it back to the restricted section and placed it on a shelf in a relatively inconspicuous location off the beaten path. Pleased with where it was placed, griffin stroked the spine of the tattered book and smiled a small, pleasing to the eye smile. He had gone through a lot to get that book, and learn its secrets. It is the last known copy of merlin's own notes on some of the darkest magic known to man. Why Merlin ever wrote any of that, he would never know.

Marvolo nodded to the librarian as she handed over the books in her arms "Thank you so much Keeper!" the woman gushed "you always bring the best books to add to the collections". Marvolo chuckled running a hand through her wild curls the keeper's sigil hanging on a long silver chain from her neck rested on her long black robe. "Its no problem Meridith though remember the top two go to the restricted section, the next two can go into general population" the librarian nodded as she bustled down the aisles "ooh!' she fluttered with a start when she turned into the restricted section and found someone bent over the books. "Professor Covert!" she giggled the libraian moved down the aisle locking up the new books marvolo brought "Keeper allow me to introduce you too our new herbology proffessor Mister Griffin Covert."

Marvolo's cool blue eyes appraised the man with a small smile tugging at her lips, she remembered him easily from when they met years ago when she was in czechia. Though he didn't really know her, she knew everything about him. She had given him a fake name and aided him with a problem, sticking out her hand as the libraian said "This is the Keeper of the Hall of Mysteries La-" "Charmed i'm sure" Marvolo said interupting the energetic book keeper before her name could be given.

Griffin turned and gave a slightly confused look as he saw this woman he recognized from his many travels standing in front of him. "Pleasure to meet you" He spoke slowly but intelligently as if he was trying to figure out her name without being as rude as to ask for it since he either didn't quite know it or can't remember it. He then quipped up and spoke a little more brightly, "I always believed books brought people together." Griffin tapped the book he had just placed on the shelf to emphasize the importance of books. ' I know this lady from somewhere' he thought to himself. Griffin then smiled to the newcomer "may I ask what brings such a lovely lady as yourself into our school?"

Meridith made a hurried goodbye before rushing off to finish her list of chores, marvolo turned back to Griffin and chuckled softly. "Professor Covert hm? To think i doubted i'd see you again after our little adventure." With a flick of her wrist the tattered book landed gently in her pale hands and she ran her fingers across the cover "And so this is where you hide your treasure" she mused with running her eyes over the worn leather. "I had things to attend too with the headmasters, the minister requested i attend proceedings for the tournament and i had gifts for the dear librarian" she said looking up at the man "what brings you to England?"

"I was wondering if I would remember you" griffin said as if the was lost in thought. "But I don't believe 'smoke' is your real name," He said slyly. "And to answer your question," griffin spoke as he moved towards the woman, and more importantly the book, "this was the next stop on my many travels. I just thought it would be interesting to try my hand at teaching. Though, herbology never really was my strong suit." Griffin admitted. "That book," Griffin said while pointing to it, "has given up all its secrets to me. Now I have also not only taken on the job as a teacher, but as the protector of the book."
