All night long (open)

With an irritated growl, Mio hit the bludger with full force, sending it flying across most of the Quidditch pitch where it crashed into one of the goal posts. His anger was only fuelling the force of his blows and when the bludger returned, he almost made it hit an unfortunate owl that was flying by. The bird looked at him as if to accuse him of attempted murder and for some reason it made Mio laugh darkly. “Piss off! The next one will find its aim!” he shouted before pushing his broom down into a dive, heading straight for the ground where he pulled back up in the last possible second. It was a close call and for a second, Mio almost lost control of the broom, but the adrenaline kick only made him grin.

If his friends had asked what was wrong with him, he would not even have been able to tell them the reason, for he did not know it himself. Sometimes, Mio just felt like he was locked in and flying on his broom helped to work off some energy and so he kept on pushing himself and his broom to their limits, even though it was already getting quite dark.

Sierra skipped down the pathway to the quidditch pitch where she saw a fellow gryffindor practicing on his broom, "Yo, Snape! Having fun?" She shouted up to him. She had never met Mio before, but she knew of him. He was the potion masters son and a great Gryffindor.

Mio slammed his bat against the bludger once again, sending it towards the forest when he heard a voice call out to him. It was one of the Gryffindor girls and he sighed, steering his broom to the ground where he hovered a few feet above the grass. "What is it, Logan? It's late, shouldn't you be inside with the other girls?" he called back smirking.

Sierra shook her head and laughed, "All the good girls are asleep. But I'm not such a goo girl." She said with a wink. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and grabbed a broom from the shed. She hovered a few feet up so she was level with Mio, "Shouldnt you be in bed as wlel, Little cub?"

Mio leaned on his broom, watching with a bored expression as the other Gryffindor got herself a broom to get into the air as well. He laughed when she told him that she wasn't a good girl and shook his head. "Of course not! You're a dark witch on the inside." he commented sarcastically and rolled his eyes. "I should but I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway, so I didn't even bother going to bed." Pulling his broom around, Mio chased off into the dark sky, not caring if she followed him or not. They barely knew each other, but as she was a fellow Gryffindor, he wouldn’t tell her to leave him alone now.

Sierra chuckled and zoomed off after Mio. "Well why would that be, sweetie?" She cocked her head to the side and raised an eyebrow. She hovered up in the air and smiled at Mio with a slight smirk on her face.

Mio spun around and started to circle her on his broom, his head crooked slighty to the side in thought of her question. "No idea. I just needed to get out for a while, what about you? Why are you still awake?" he gave back the question, leaning back on his broom a bit. Mio did not care at all that they were so far anove the ground, actually he enyoed it a lot to watch everything go small beneath him.

Tinuviel, bored and still unsure of the rules and curfews of Hogwarts, decided tonight would be a nice night for a walk. The soft, well kept grass of the grounds swished softly under her feet. She wasn't entirely sure where she was walking, maybe she just wanted to clear her mind? Tinuviel looked up at the stars then, wondering if, wherever she was, her mum could see them too. It was a passing thought, she wouldn't let it take traction or she'd turn into a puddle of tears then and there.

Luckily there was a distraction ahead. Her ears pricked when she heard a thwack. Someone must be practicing Quidditch. Having nothing better to do, she started making her way over to the Quidditch Pitch. Quidditch was much bigger here than it was in the Australian version of Hogwarts, and it only interested her vaguely. She was a sixteen year old witch that had never ridden a broom, partially because they seemed awfully cliche, but mostly because she couldn't give a toss.

When she made it to the arena-thing, she noticed two kids, both a few years younger than her, up on brooms in the air. She casually leaned against a stand with one shoulder and crossed her arms, watching, slightly amused. They were saying something, but she couldn't really hear it, they were up fairly high. Looks pretty bloody uncomfortable, she thought. There was a Fanged-Frisbee and an Ever-Bashing-Boomerang in her bag that she was very tempted to throw for laughs. ...Maybe not yet, they might be worth being nice to

"COuldnt sleep. Party in the common room. People being to bloody cheery, annoying as hell." Sierra leaned back as Mio did but soon returned to an upright position as she was slightly afraid of heights. But she couldnt let Mio know that. It was then that she ssensed the presence of another person. She turned and saw a Ravenclaw girl. She waved to the girl, "Yo!"

Mio rolled his eyes at the girl and snorted. "Well, I would have thought you to be the first to join in a party." he commented, smirking slightly. When she called out to someone, Mio looked over his shoulder to find an older Ravenclaw and he raised his hand, saluting her. "Hey! Impressed with my skill?" he called over jokingly and made a loop with his broom.

"You see, my dear Endymion, normally I would be the first to join, but there was nothing for me to really join for. No cute guys to dance with." She sighed over dramatically and zoomed over so that she was right next to Mio, "Now if you had been there it would be another story." She decided to ignore the girls precense and hope she went away. She wanted to be alone with Mio so they could talk.

Mio rolled his eyes when the other Gryffindor called him "dear". It sounded like something a grandmother would say, but not even his mother called him that. Instead of commenting on this though, he choose to ignore it for now and kept on listening. "Who says I would have danced wit you, huh?" he asked her smirking slightly. She might be a pretty girl, but Mio wasn't easily fooled by good looks.

"Im pretty confident you would have. If I had asked you to. You would have, wouldnt you Mio?" She asked with big brown eyes. She batted her eyeslashes innocently and bit her lip. What fi he said no? She would be so upset.

Mio snorted and rolled his eyes, not at all impressed with her flirting, but he knew that some guys might aftually fall for it. "That would depend on my mood. If I was feeling gracious I might have even accepted, though usually I rather ask girls to dance than the other way around." he told her, still smirking. It hadn't taken him long to figure this girl out. She loved to flirt, was confident and maybe a little shallow if all she cared for was how cute a guy was. But he really wasn't bothered by that at all, live and let live, he thought, at least as long as he wasn't pissed off.

Sierra nodded as Mio spoke, "Yeah I get you. I prefer to be asked. But not everyone is brave enough to approach me. I dont know why though." She sighed and bit her lip. "So Mio, do you have any plans this weekend?"

"I wouldn't know why." Mio said and laughed. "I have absolutely no problem asking a girl to dance, the problem is that most just don't catch my interest." he told her and shrugged. "Besides hanging out with my friends? Not much to be honest. Why, do you like me so much that you need to spend more time with me?" Mio smirked at her.

"You know it." She winked and nudged his hip with hers, "No really. I was just planning to go to Hogsmeade and was wondering if you would like to join me." She smiled nervously and looked down at her heels. SHe smoothed out her dress in anticipation of his answer. "You're probably too busy though. I understand."

Leaning back on his broom, Mio shrugged. "I think we're going to Hogsmeade as well for a drink or so, maybe I'll see you there then." he said, as he wasn't quite sure what his friends' were up to. David might go with his girlfriend and Arty with her sister, that only left him with Ian and Neville and both of them liked to go to the books store which would give him the time to meet her. If he felt up to it. After what happened in the past, girls usually meant too much trouble for him.

Tinuviel had been about to introduce herself when the other girl, a blonde Gryffindor, butted back in. She, the Gryffindor, seemed to have a real need to be the center of attention. She started digging around in her bag and found a piece of paper, writing "Just seeing if you have any skill" on it and folded it up, taping it to the Ever-Bashing-Boomerang. Tinuviel smirked and tucked her hair behind her ears, then whirled around and threw the boomerang between the two. If they retreated, she knew it would follow them.

Out of the corner of his eyes Mio could see a movement from the older Ravenclaw who had been silent for a while and quickly reacted by pulling his broom around so he was behind the object that she had thrown. Before it could turn again, he managed to catch it and noticed the note taped to it. His lips twitched into a smirk and threw it back to the Raven. "I'll gladly oblige, madam!" he called back before diving to the ground, performing a smooth Wronski Feint only to stop right in front of her. "So? What is your verdict?" Mio asked, still smirking amused.

Tinuviel snorted a small laugh. "Just flying is impressive when you've never ridden before." She said, feeling slightly embarrassed at how thick her accent was. She was just as much Pom as this lot, but was raised in Australia her whole life. To her, she sounded a bit bogan compared to them. She started bustling with her bag, stashing her boomerang away, thankful it wasn't broken. Normally when she threw it at people, she'd have to replace them, 'cause the answer was normally to bash it 'til it stopped. This was probably her 17th in the past two weeks. "Sorry for stealing you from your girlfriend up there" she said, matching the Gryffindor's smirk.

Leaning forward slightly, Mio rested his arms in his broom's handle and looked thoughtfully at the girl whom he had never seen around before which was strange, as he usually spend his time running around the castle with his friends. He gaped at her when she told him that she had never sat on a broom before. "You what? That's... " Mio shook his head in disbelieve. "I don't even know what to say, only that you really missed out on a great experience. Flying is one of the best things you can do." At her next words, he grimaced and shot a glance over his shoulder. "Oh hell no! She's not my girlfriend, just someone from my house." He crooked his head to the side in thought. for a moment before speaking again. "You're new here, are you?"

"Was it the accent?" she asked, wondering if she should be a bit more aloof. Everyone around here seemed to immediately know she was a new kid. She eyed him and his broom warily, as if it would suddenly zip off and attack her. "The flying thing I'm okay with missing. I kind of like the ground, and what not." Her eyes flicked up to the blonde girl, still overhead, she wondered very vaguely if the girl could hear their conversation. "What's your name anyway?" she asked, her eyes still on the other girl.

"Yeah it was kind of obvious." Mio chuckled in amusement and nodded at her. "Australia, I presume?" he asked curiously, not ever having been out of Great Britain in his life. He wondered why she would have moved from so far away, but decided not to bother her with questions like a five year old.
"Well, if you ever change your mind, I wouldn't mind taking you for a ride." Mio winked at her and grinned sheepishly. "Oh right! I'm Mio, and you?"

Sierra sfrowned as Mio quickly denied her being his girlfriend She wasnt, but he didnt have to be sio rude about it. SHe appraoched the two and turned to the girl with a sug smirk on her face, "Hi there. Im Sierra You must be new here. Welcome to Hogwarts." She then turned back to Mio, "I would love to see you at Hogsmeade, Lion Cub. Maybe I can meet your friends too."
