No Way Back (INV only, R)

Magali led her boyfriend towards the fort. She knew the way from her mother. After all, she was Traveller to be and her mother was actually glad that the only existing Grigori will be with her daughter. As they approached two dark high towers, Magali went straight towards the huge Mirror, which was there instead of door. "I cannot go in yet. And you have to stick with my mother or you get lost and no one will ever find you. This place is fucked up. Mirrors are instead of doors. They change final destinations often, they even show things usualy unseen. So, careful, love," Magali warned him, while they waited for Morana to appear.

Morana stepped out of the mirror few minutes after they arrived. Tala was waiting in the room specialy made for Grigori ritual, just like Morana asked her to. Now she only needed to pick up Nate. "Follow me," she said darkly, her voice cold and husky as always. With her look she reassured her daughter she will take care of her boy. "Hold my dress, otherwise mirror can send you somewhere else, than me," she told Nate before stepping into the fort, heading directly to ritual room.

Tala sat in a high backed chair her hands resting on the arm rests her ever growing direwolf Rem at her feet. "Yes i know" she said as she heard a spirit whisper about the guests arriving soon "this will all go well my friends relax" the room was filled with low lit candles. Standing she puleld her ritual knife from her robe, cutting her left wrist she began to draw runes on the floor with her blood.

Nathaniel nodded at Morana and as she turned her back on him, stole a kiss from Magali. Holding the end of Morana's dress he stepped through the mirror along with her and then quickly followed Magali's mother wherever she went. He wasn't frightened, he was just being...wary.

Morana entered the ritual room, nodding at Tala, who was working on preparations. "Nate, this is Tala. She is a necromancer, a traveller and next year your schoolmate. She is here to make sure the souls will arrive to approve or deny your transition. Do you know what is ahead of you? What you need to do?" Morana asked, to make sure Nate knew and the ritual couldn't get screwed up by lack of knowledge.

Standing up straight Tala returned to her chair for the moment to pull her supplies from her bag. "to become a grigori you must fully understand the task ahead" she said darkly "you must enter the circle free of regret." Stepping into the circle she said "one by one you will enter the circle you will answer my question we will greet each other and you will enter last Nathaniel" walking to the entrance of the circle she held her knife before her pressing its tip into morana's breast bone "it would be better to throw yourself upon this blade then to enter the circle with doubt in your heart, m'lady how do you enter?"


(answer is, "in perfect mind, in perfect trust" )

"In perfect mind, in perfect trust," Morana said without hesitation. Her perfect selfcontrol allowed her all this. Perks of being a Traveller. She stepped into the circle.

As she stepped aside for morana to enter she repeated this with Magali. Turning to Nathaniel she pressed the dagger to his heart "know if you lie if you enter in doubt, the spirits will destroy you" she cautioned him. It would be better to throw yourself on this blade then to enter with doubt in your heart. How do you enter?"

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow at the knife pointed at his heart, before raising his dark eyes at Tala, "Doubt? I know no doubt," and it was true, all doubts about what he was about to do were gone, they disappeared the moment he entered the fort. He was doing this, and he was growing stronger because "In perfect mind, in perfect trust," he answered with a calm demeanor.

As he steped into the circle she sealed it with her blood "M'lady when you are ready i shall bring them here" she said letting Morana to take back the lead.

Morana made sure everything is ready. The victim was close, all that was missing were souls. "Bring them in, please," Morana replied, showing Tala her respect just like Tala did for her. They had quite unexpected harmony after some time of Tala being a Traveller.

Tala untied her blinders "whatever happens do not attempt to make eye contact with me" she said blinking her black and purple eyes. The temperature dropped in the room and the candles dimmed reaching for Nate's hand she cut into the meat of his palm, the blood dripped into her left hand and she stepped into the center of the circle. Clasping her hands together in a prayer like formation she said in a tongue neither of her companions could understand, I call upon the grigori of old to bare witness to the son of a veela who wishes to bring them back into power, come to me grigori, join us, wind blew through the circle. come to me... Holding a blood covered hand up she said in english "i open the door between worlds" a giant crack formed over the circle and suddenly the circle was joined by blackened spirits with silver eyes the door dissapeared as a hissing tone filled the room. "Death...." the strongest spirit said "how would you dare to bring us forth" "I give you lord Grigori, Lady Morana of the Travellers and the veela boy who is well on his way to becoming like yourself" the spirits swirled through the air circling nate some of them bit him drawing blood others pulled at his robes and his hair appraising him. Grunting the elder spirit said "Go forth with the ritual" the dementor like creatures hovered quietly above the circle now silent as she turned to morana, knowing they did not hear her conversation. "They give leave to proceed"

Morana nodded towards Tala and grabbed the huge bowl made for blood. She handed it over to Nate. "Now you shall bleed your victim dry and bring his blood to me," Morana told Nate, waiting for him to do as he was told.

Being beaten, or feeling his own blood pour down his body was a sensation he knew all too well, from the extreme training sessions his father had with him, from the beatings he gave him whenever he failed, and from the injuries he sustained. This was nothing much compared to thirteen years of all that pain. Taking the bowl and kneeling next to the man, he dug his hand deep in between two of the man's ribs, reaching for his lung. Ripping it apart, he allowed his blood to fill the bowl little by little.

Morana waited for Nate to finish his job and hand the blood over to her, she she could curse it.

The blood stopped pouring and began to only drip so Nathaniel picked the bowl up, rising to his feet, "Here," he handed the bowl carefully to Morana so it wouldn't spill.

Morana took the blood and began to curse it, making it quickly turn into black, waiting for Tala to do her part, so she could hand the bowl back to Nate to drink it.
