The Hangover (Selena, Chase, Richardo, Morgan) (R) Empty The Hangover (Selena, Chase, Richardo, Morgan) (R)

The moment Richardo was brought into the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts, the Medi-Witches knew that his injuries and overall condition was no match for them. Asking Rowan and Junis what in the world happened, the girls did their best to tell what all they had seen, not revealing any names, of course. Doing a quick once over, they quickly made the call that he needed the hands of the best in the business if he had any chance of surviving. Writing up an owl, they sent Rowan to send it off. Thanking the girls, they sent them on their way and readied Richardo to be transported to St. Mungo's.

As they finished the preparations for Richardo's move, and one took him to St. Mungo's, Artemis stormed in with Chase in her arms. "Not another one! What in Merlin's name happened?" one Medi-Witch asked taking the girl in her arms and placing her on a bed to check her over. Artemis told the same story as Rowan and Junis, and the healers thanked her and sent her on her way. Shaking her head, the Medi-Witch knew that this one needed to go there as well. As she prepared Chase for transport, she only hoped that the hospital wasn't too busy.... Then again, the healers there were some of the best...

~*~

Morgan sat at her desk going over paperwork from the past few days when one of her healers rushed in and handed her an urgent owl from Hogwarts. As she read, her grey-blue eyes hardened before she got up and instructed him to ready a room on the 1st floor as she hastened out of her office and rushed to where the boy would be arriving. Just as she finished getting ready, she heard the pop of Richardo's arrival. Opening the door, she slipped into Healer mode as she began running diagnostic spells on the boy. He was in worse shape than she thought....

Just as she began, another pop sounded from several beds over. Looking up, Morgan noticed it was Chase. "What in Merlin's name...." she cursed under her breath as the same healer as before entered with a second letter. "She's already here," Morgan said, as she went back to Richardo. "Take some of the others and start working on her," she ordered him. Where is all this blood coming from? Checking him again, Morgan found several gaping wounds and set to work closing them. Almost immediately, Richardo's color began to improve as the blood loss became less and less. "Hang in there, son," she whispered to him as she worked to close his wounds...

Ricardo had been unconscious most of the time, he didn't even know he was in St. Mungus, he expected to actually wake up back at Hogwarts, in his dorm. But no, the second his eyes fluttered open, he looked at the ceiling and felt someone walk around the bed he was sleeping at. He tried to speak however he could only groan.

Selena was waving her wand over a young man, producing a small white light bulb. "There you go, Mr. Rhymus. You're scan is clear. You're wife will be able to take you home today." she told him, a warm smile on her face when suddenly, her wand started humming in her hand. "I need to go, a mediwitch will see you soon." With that, Selena rushed out of the room and towards the examination room where one of her co-workers was already occupied with a young boy.

Stepping up to a bed, Selena paled slightly upon seeing a young girl "What on earth happened to these children?" she asked, as she started waving her wand over the girl to run a diagnostic charm. The bite mark on her neck wasn't too serious, so Selena only cast a disinfection charm on the wound before closing it. The damage done to her cervical spine was more severe and she had to work on the neck for several minutes to make sure that no lasting damage would be done.

Moving on she detected a bruised spleen and a sprained arm which luckily could be fixed by a combination of healing spells and potions, which Selena had to spell into the girl's stomach.
Finally, she administered a dose of pain reliever and looked up at Morgan. "Do you need help with him?" she asked and walked over to her.

Morgan was happy when Selena entered and set to work on Chase. "I haven't the foggiest...." she answered her as she began running her own diagnostic spell on Richardo. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't good. Hearing a small groan come from him, she looked up and saw his eyes were open. Amazing what stopping blood loss would do... Putting a gentle hand on his forehead, she smiled at the boy. "You're going to be ok. You're at St. Mungo's. I'm Morgan. I'll be taking care of you. Just lay still and we'll get you right as rain," her voice was soft and soothing, something she was always able to do even before becoming a healer. Casting a spell to put Richardo into a deep sleep, she set to work.

Following her diagnostic exam, Morgan shook her head, her brow furrowing. Whatever happened, Richardo was lucky to be alive, and she was thankful she put him under. The boy was exhausted which wasn't helping his case, now. Looking up at Selena, she said, "Can you do a blood transfusion and disinfecting spell on him, please? Also, look into getting these wounds closed up better. I'll tend to his broken bones and concussion." He was a mess.... That much was certain. A few broken bones, a concussion, torn skin, bite marks, a nearly broken neck, extreme blood loss, and exhaustion to top it all off. Morgan would find out the why later, now it was get him stable, and with the capable hands of Selena with her, Morgan knew they could do it.

"Got it." Selena nodded at her colleague and summoned two bags out of a cupboard. They were filled with a dark red liquid and rather cold, so she warmed them slowly with her wand before conjuring a hollow needle which she inserted into the boy's arm. Then she conjured a connection between it and one of the bags, so the blood could slowly flow into the boy's system.

Then, she moved on to his injuries and began to disinfect them carefully. Selena was shocked to see such extensive harm done to a child of that age. What could have possibly happened? It was like some beast had a go at him and her stomach turned slightly at the thought that the boy was just about her son's age.

While Selena worked to get Richardo's blood levels back up, she set to work on the few broken bones her exam had found. Casting the bone mending charm she rested her hand gently over the bones and listened to the tell-tale click of them setting and felt for a proper set each time. She was thankful that she had put him out or else the pain would be unbearable. Once his bones were as they should be, she next focused on his concussion. There wasn't much that could be done except to monitor how he was doing, but she was going to try and lessen the severity of his injury to the best of her ability. Waving her wand over his head, Morgan watched as the silvery-blue light made a halo around his head and slowly absorbed into him. She lifted first one eyelid and then the next, and let out a small sigh when she watched his pupils begin to return to normal. There was nothing left to do with that injury but to let the spell work.

Her final focus went to his neck. Setting her want down, Morgan gently felt along the back of his neck, feeling the spine as she went. Her featured hardened when she felt some extensive damage and hoped that Richardo was going to be alright once the damage was fixed. Spinal injuries were nothing to mess with, she saw that first hand with Andrew, her friend Lyra's husband who comes in now and then with her for check-ups. Picking up her wand, Morgan cast a healing spell that was a brilliant red. The spell encircled the boy's neck and began to work as she focused all her attention on keeping the spell going. As it worked, the area the spell touched began to heat up slightly to help relax the tissue to allow the bones and cartilage to mend properly. She could only hope they were in time to keep the more permanent damage away
