Second check-up (Morgan)

Jocelyn stepped out of the elevators of the second floor. She had been busy the whole morning in the tearoom before hurrying up to the second floor for a second check-up. She was now 4 and half months pregnant, it went fast and she was a little bit concerned as she didn't feel the little bundle move around much. She had her ups and downs during the last check-up but she was told to stay positive and that the baby might be a very quiet one, lucky for her, they said. Jocelyn wasn't really calmed down by that comment and it still flew around her head.

She stepped up to the front desk, seeing a nice young lady sitting behind it. "Hello, i'm havong an appointment with Head Healer Miss Lupin." Jocelyn said and the lady nodded. "Healer Lupin will be right back and get you, you can wait over there in the waiting room." Jocelyn nodded and walked to the waiting room and settled herself down on the seats. She knew the head healer was Morgan, she worked here but now she wasn't here for her work but for the baby growing in her. Jocelyn fidgeted with her coat.

"Everything looks great, Mrs. Nott. Stop by the front desk to set up your next appointment for a month from now. See you then!" Morgan said happily as she closed the exam room door behind her to allow her patient to ready herself to leave. It seemed that there was an influx of babies now-a-days, and she enjoyed being asked by so many to be their healer of choice. Heading to the desk, she handed of the file in exchange for the next one and smiled as seeing the name. Opening the door to the witing area, Morgan glanced around until she found the one she was looking for. "Jocelyn, come on back," she said happily and held the door for her brother-at-heart's sister. "How are you?" she asked brightly.

Jocelyn glanced up when Morgan called her name. She pulled up and held her coat in her hands, she walked up to Morgan. "I'm good, a bit concerned about the baby." Jocelyn said and stepped into the exam room, she turned to Morgan. "I don't feel the baby, the last two weeks i felt it like twice and then nothing. I'm a bit concerned about it but i think i'm overreacting." Jocelyn said to Morgan.

Morgan smiled as she closed the door to the exam room and listened to Jocelyn's concerns about little movment with her baby. Patting the table for her to take a seat, Morgan sat on the stool next to the little side table and opened her file up. "These things happen. I'm sure your baby is fine, but we will check just to be sure. Now, how has this last month been, besides less noticable movement?" she asked. In her time as Head Healer, Morgan had looked after many witches during their pregnancies and, sometimes, while distressing to the mother, lessened baby movement happens. She had seen it before. As she looked over Jocelyn's file, a grin toyed with the corner of her mouth. This visit, if she wished, could determine the gender of the baby...

Jocelyn sat down, taking a deep breath. She hasn't talked to Matthew after she told him that she was pregnant from his kid. The expression that he gave concerned Jocelyn a lot, so much that she had slept at her father's house, next to him in his bed. He had calmed her down. Jocelyn ran her hand through her hair as she looked up to Morgan. "A bit stressful. After the first check-up i told my father and Kronos was there, he knows but i hadn't told Matthew, the father of the little bundle. We, Matthew and I have a bit of a crisis so i told him but i couldn't read his reaction. He didn't say anything so could that be the cause that the baby doesn't move much because i'm stressed? Before the confrontation i could feel the baby when i was lying in bed. Other than the stress and the less movements i don't have sicknesses anymore only that i have to pee more than usual." Jocelyn explained everything to Morgan.

Hearing Jocelyn speak of her concerns over whether or not the father of the baby was alright with the whole thing made her smile, as did hearing that Kronos got to hear the news as well. His little sister.... Gonna be a mother.... Jotting down her remarks about how she was feeling and what symptoms she was having, Morgan then looked at her an began the small exam. "I assure you, Matthew is likely just taking it all in. Not all guys are bounce off the walls excited at hearing that they're going to be a father. So, nothing to worry about there. Just talk to him about it, gently. See what he's thinking," Morgan offered as she checked her blood pressure, temperature, and oxygenation levels. She remembered how Remus reacted when he found out....well, figured out....that she was pregnant. He had the reaction that many woman hope their men will have.

Helping Jocelyn to lay down, Morgan liften up her shirt and with a flick of her wrist a tape measure measured her slightly swollen belly. "What was Kronos' reaction?" she asked as she wrote down the measurement from the tape measure that was levitating in front of her before waving her hand and the tape measure put itself away in her top drawer.

Jocelyn calmed down when Morgan told her that it was completely normal how Matthew reacted and she nodded at her advice to gently talk to hm. Morgan started to check if everything was alright and then she lied down for further inspections. As she asked about Kronos' reaction, Jocelyn hesitated for a second. She didn't know if she was able to talk about him now that he is in hiding with Luna. "H...he is happy about it. He didn't really talk to me, he only said that Legion would drop by but i haven't see Legion. He looked way to busy so i didn't really got a whole conversation out of him." Jocelyn looked at Morgan curious if she knew if the baby was alright or not.

"I'm glad to hear that Kronos is pleased. I had no doubt that he would be. I'm sure Legion is just busy, and will be stopping by before you know it," Morgan replied happily. The Grimms were always busy doing something, she learned since her school days with them. So, really, it was no surprise to her that Legion hadn't appeared as yet. After finishing up her notes, Morgan scooted her stool over to the side of the bed and smiled beightly. "Everything looks fantastic, Jocelyn. Now, you are far enough along to find out what you're having. Is that something you'd like to find out today? Or, woudl you rather have father-to-be here with you?" she asked.

Jocelyn nodded at Morgan. "I know, i'm not even waiting on him anymore. I will see when he is coming in and i don't get bothered by Legion." Jocelyn said. She worried too much about the Grimm brothers and it only brought her pain and sadness. Jocelyn was relieved when Morgan told her that everything was fine and she smiled happily losing a lot of wieght of her shoulders. She didn't want to wait for Matthew, she really wanted to know. "No it's okay i want to know it now, if Matthew blames me i don't care about that. I asked him if he wanted to come but he said no so please do tell me Morgan." Jocelyn was way too curious now to wait for Matthew.

Morgan admired the woman Jocelyn had grown into. She wasn't the little do as people want of me girl anymore. She was a determined woman that looked out for herself and put her wishes as they are. Nodding, Morgan picked up her wand and gave it a few waves over Jocelyn's swollen belly. Little wisps of silver smoke came out of her wand tip and settled over her belly before going into her body. Withing a few moments, the wisps returned and once they were all outside of Jocelyn, they turned a bright blue. With a smile, Morgan looked at her, "Congratulations! It's a boy!"

Jocelyn looked at the interesting thing Morgan did. When the smoke came back and turned blue, Jocelyn widened her eyes and smiled brightly. "Wow, i thought about a boy and i was talking about it with the little Axel but i didn't know for sure. Gosh i think Axel will be pleased and then i can finally begin with the names." Jocelyn said and then looked at Morgan. "Do you need other information of me or when do i have to return?" Jocelyn asked her, she really want to visit Axel to tell him what the gender of the baby is.

Morgan was pleased to see Jocelyn excited with the news about the baby. At her question, Morgan shook her head, "The nurses will get you set up with your next appointment. Until then, just keep doing what you are doing. Everything looks fine." Helping Jocelyn sit up, Morgan asked, "Any other questions?"

Jocelyn smiled at Morgan and nodded thank you when she got help from her to sit up. "Okay thank you, Morgan. When i see Luna or Kronos, i will say hi for you." Jocelyn stood up and shook her head. "No i have no further questions for you, everything is clear for me." She smiled brightly, she couldn't be more exciting about the news and to tell Axel. "Thank you." Jocelyn said to Morgan again.
